Chris Moyles: Comic Relief

I quite like Chris Moyles and he is doing a couple of days (37+ hours) on the radio continuously.

He's going for 50 now to break the world record tomorrow should be the same boring self absorbed tripe as he always talks

LEO-RS 16 March 2011 11:44 AM

51.5hrs I think is the target

06:30 Wednesday to 10:00 Friday.

37hrs is the current record.

Jamo 16 March 2011 11:46 AM

thats nuts, good luck to him :)

Jamz3k 16 March 2011 12:24 PM

Can't stand the ****! Hope he dies of exhaustion from listening to prolonged periods of his own ****e.....ok maybe not die, I"d settle for at least a loss of voice for a few months.

Coffin Dodger 16 March 2011 12:47 PM

Cue all the haters :D

Anyone doing anything a bit mad for charity earns respect in my book. Hope they do it :)

If you don't like him, just listen to another station.

Don't listen to him, but if you watch BBC at all then the obnoxious get is hard to ignore

boxst 16 March 2011 03:03 PM

I'm surprised people dislike him so much. I have only been listening for the last three or so years, but during that time he seems to be relatively funny and not that obnoxious.

He has raised £86K so far and been on the air for 7 hours.

Yeah most people start listening to Radio 2 on maturity ;)

Love Chris Moyles, so donated this morning on the way into work while listening to him. I think tomorrow's morning show is going to be interesting, if not very funny.... How many times will he swear do you think? :D

LEO-RS 16 March 2011 05:02 PM

I agree,

I always have a chuckle on the way to work, the guy has had so many telling offs for being controversial it's unreal. He speaks his mind and rarely holds back and Im glad he's a northener who doesn't take himself too seriously.

I find him entertaining, I just fall asleep with R2, you know you're getting on a bit when you switch over to R2 ;-)

Clarebabes 16 March 2011 05:05 PM

The only time I listened to Radio 2 was when Zane Lowe was on the first week after the Christmas holidays. He was monumentally awful on the breakfast show! Who thought a 20 minute interview with someone from the white stripes was a good idea at 8 in the morning? :cuckoo:

+1 he irritates me but fair play to him and for a good cause, Go Moyles!

stevebt 16 March 2011 07:25 PM

Stopped listening to him at 4.30pm tonight when I left work and he was still in a good mood, lets hear what he is like when I start listening at 8.00am tomorrow :D

BigBurnz 16 March 2011 07:43 PM

just been watching on the red button, thats a long time to keep talking.
would love to see what they are up to at about 3 in the morning:lol1:

over 157 thousand now!

Ant 16 March 2011 07:45 PM

Probably the best wk of breakfast shows on R1 possibly ever for true music fans, shame that for a new music & cutting edge station allegedly they are more interested in appeasing the manufacted pop industry

While using his status to raise cash for charity is a positive, it doesnt change the fact he is an ignorant individual who always looks for the cheap laugh - plus I'm sure many on here will agree staying awake for 2 days is hardly the worlds greatest achievement.

Comic relief is just another excuse for attention seeking celebs to whore themselves out.

D6ale 16 March 2011 10:50 PM

Go moyles !

what would scooby do 16 March 2011 10:53 PM

Go fatty man :D

mrmadcap 16 March 2011 11:26 PM

It's his butt licking hangwringing yes men he surrounds himself with like that comedy Dave and the token gayboy that make me want to pi$$

Hysteria1983 16 March 2011 11:30 PM

He gets the job done!

He pulls in the listeners and a stunt like this is raising thousands of pounds.

Do I like him or his show? He and it are ok, and now and again a cry laughing at the radio, especially his Charlie 'the warlock' Sheen impression.

So what... he takes the pee a little, but he isn't a bad bloke. He just pushes the boundaries to get the ratings.
Isn't that what most people on TV/Radio do?

fatherpierre 16 March 2011 11:37 PM

Chris who?

I stopped listening to R1 when he was picked for the breakfast show.

He was in the year below me at school and bullied to like a ginger step-child. Fair play to him for making it, but I can't bear to listen to him.

Curtiz 16 March 2011 11:43 PM

I think Moyles is fantastic! Been watching him on the red button for a good part of the evening, shame 'comedy' dave is there to though
