I wasn't trying to be a smart ****, I actually thought you were. I genuinely meant application in the manner defined, the trouble is you and your **** buddy see the three letters a p and p run together anywhere and immediately get a semi whereas what you need to do is get is a life
There is life outside of Apple Geekworld you know? The term application was used for software programs long before the 'Apple' of your (Jap's) eye was even the slightest little embryonic idea in the Apple dev team's mind!

I think that question has already been asked and answered earlier in the thread.
As a user of about 3 or 4 different IM clients BBM is by far my favourite. Has a lot of function built into it, but hard to explain to someone who has not used it.

I think someone tried to explain it, but I still can't see that it provides anything other than a pin number for a username that can be taken away from you. About as sensible as using an email address from your Internet provider.

There are loads of them popping up, which kind of defeats the purpose, everyone with a Blackberry has messenger and that I think is the benefit.
