Not only are RM shoit usually, day to day. But the usless fukkwits can't even live up to their 'updated' delivery schedule, they state on their website:

"Special Delivery™ items posted on 31st December were guaranteed for delivery on 4th January, except in Scotland where the guaranteed delivery date is, 5th January 2011."

So why when i Track and Trace my item does it say:

Tracking history
Reference number: FF943191001GB

05-JAN-2011-08:22:48-Inward RDC Handheld Acceptance-National Distribution Centre

31-DEC-2010-15:30:52-Outward RDC Volumetric Acceptance-Yorkshire Distribution Centre

31-DEC-2010-08:51:49-Pre-advice Received

As you can see, they have no problem moving it from RDC to RDC so why can't they get it to me!!! They blame a little bit of inclement weather (which can be understood to a degree) and a 'busy period'. FFS it was Christmas, an annual event which any company worth it's salt would plan and prepare for.

They are in fact, preventing me from using a service that i am paying for (the parcel is a replacement Home Hub) and costing me extra ££ as i have had to top up my MiFi router.

I have informed BT in the hope that they will 'claim' their payment back. If everyone that had a late 'signed' delivery claimed compensation, RM would be delivering for free. It is only the fact that people are so pleased their items turn up at all that keeps them from claiming. Perhaps peoples tolerance may soon start to wane with RM and they will realize that they cannot survive operating the way they do.

Rant over. For now anyway.

We have noticed the occasional obviously deliberate tear in an envelope, as if wanting to see what is inside it.

Can't find your address. Ha ha ha. Did you get your parcel??

Last one that came to me (or didn't) I saw the van come down our street, so was ready to pounce. Next thing he just pisses off down the road and updates their website: "attempted delivery but no one home" ffs!
I phoned them up, and apparently, they can't contact to their drivers!

Well City Link are f**king me off now, their website states delivery before 5:30 yesterday on my tracking and still not here today but they are not taking calls. The driver that comes to our place is sound and told me the depot was clear of parcels so it's the logistics of one area to another thats at fault. Can't believe we had snow in November and they still haven't caught up!
Company I work for have 53 depots and over a thousand vans and we caught up in around two days. It's the local drivers I feel sorry for they must be getting some sh*t from customers

Simliar problem here, ordered 7 items over the net on the 16th Dec.
I still havent got any of them.

Here's another one, took 9 days for a first class letter from my sisters {Durham} to me {Highlands}
What pisses me off, I pay for next day delivery anywhere in the UK, it always takes 4 days.
When I can order from the USA and have it in around 4/5 days

Well just stopped off at city link and they have managed to find one of my parcels, so I'm 50% there. They were closed but a helpful driver let me inside, only 1 more to get!

No backlog

Speak to the real people at parcel companies and treat them respect and you will get somewhere , give people abuse like everyone was at the city link depot was this morning (except for me and a man swapping his broken iPhone 4) and you will get nowhere

Very true SS. Never shoot the messenger. As said earlier, CL's problems are deeper routed than that.

Just to resurrect an old thread, I still haven't received my exhaust which should have been delivered 5th Jan, tried ringing several times but no way you can get to speak to someone so emailed them, guess what, no response. So to make myself feel better I sent them this email today, probably get me nowhere but it cheered me up

I have been trying to trace the parcel above for six days now and the tracking no says the item is still not even at the delivery depot. I have emailed with no response, no surprise there. I have also rang several times only to be cut off if I was lucky enough to get through to an automated message. Apparently your website says the parcel will be delivered by 5:30 January the 5TH. I assume you mean next year or have you discovered time travel. It’s the company I bought the item off that I feel sorry for as they have now lost a £260 sale and god forbid if they use one of your horse and carts to get the item back I doubt they will ever see it again. Its interesting to see how you claim on your website to be the UK’s premier couriers. One word, unbelievable.
Maybe change the wording from premier to shower of (insert word here)

I've sent them 2 very similar emails in the last 5 days, both re tracked items.

I also tried phoning, only to be cut off right on the vinegar stroke too!

Both issues have now been delivered, strangely though, very first thing the morning following the emails.

I'm waiting on 1 tracked item, dispatched on Friday but has yet to leave their outward mail center yet.

On another note, i bought a book from Amazon (Prime) on Sunday night and it turned up this morning!
What i ask, have Amazon got over rm that no one else seem to have???
