Now I know this post is long overdue, and some of you may have gone to sleep waiting, but the way it was heading was not where I wanted it to go.
Its not my style to go around slating other peoples work and with all the problems we uncovered that was going to be the outcome.
These problems led to the build cost increasing by 4k over the estimate
This brings me on to Richard at FBtuning
I asked him for an estimate for the rebuild with a set brief on what I was expecting at the end date.
Richard kept me updated with all the issues as the build took shape and gave me all the options open to me with applied costs. I began to feel that Richard was a bit embarssed about how the costs were growing, none of which he could have foreseen due to the lack of info given to me at time of purchase.
Moving on
Fbtuning returned the car to me on the date agreed and off we went to the track day at brands.
The car performed exceptionally well considering we were testing and short shifting at 6k. All of the water temp and oil consumption issues had been resolved, in fact we thought it may be running a little too cold.
The moral of this story is;
If you know what you've got
and you know what you want
and are happy to pay a very fair price
for a top drawer outcome
Richard at FBtuning is the man for the job
many thanks Rich

Just seen this thread mate.
Can sympathise, i've been on the wrong end of TSL shafting too.
Proper sh*te outfit. Was ok when Glen and Becky were there as the quality of work was second to none but they left and TSL went rapidly down hill hence why they only do online parts sales now.
Hope the car in it's new guise is all you want to be. Also looking forward to playing on track too
Take it easy
