Default episode 4

so here is where we are at
the head studs were not up to the job
also the heads had been over skimmed
maybe to improve compression ratios
but the head gasket was too thin
this has lead to the valves hitting the pistons
new valves required
also the valve stem seals were a bit of an issue
the exhaust seals were on the intake and vice versa
also they were not all pressed in place correctly
this means some of them were going up and down with the valve
so thats how all the oil got out
this is a bit of a delay but still hope to be at brands in Feb

Don't understand if your a mechanic what is the excuse of not being able to put an engine together ?
Surley it's just a process of ordered assembly ?
Good luck this time pal

You can run exhaust stem seals on the intakes but not vise versa. Theyre made of different materials. The intake seal material will not take the tempratures of the exhaust valve stems.

So whats the plan with the heads now Pete? Just run pocketed pistons. What will the new CR be?

All the best,

Frayz
