well **** me a good 7 - 8 inches in my driveway this morning. a tad difficult to get the car out. main aterial routes are atrocious into belfast. singles lane in and out of the city. should cause chaos when the rest of the world attempts to go to work. i can see a lot of people not bothering today to be honest.

Forcast looks ok for the eastern side now.
If we set off at 8 am tomorrow it looks like we'll miss the snow here (Notts).

Sunday seems to be a bit hit and miss as to how severe the weather will be.

Are you going in the Truck (is it an L200?), if so you would be fine no matter what.

When I had my Pajero, the first time I went greenlaning was on the Yorkshire moors. There was about 40 of us doing a charity run mostly Pajeros and a couple of L200's and Landrovers. We had a couple of foot of snow and apart from having to pull a couple out that got beached they were awesome. Some guys were using their trucks to blast through drifts that were 6ft high so we could continue. Obviously stopping on ice is still an issue.

Yours has the superselect 4 wheel drive with low box?

If you're going in the Turbo

You must be in a different Aberdeen from me then!

I'd say we've had about 4-5 inches. There was 16 inches lying a couple of weeks ago, so quite a bit to go yet It is blowing about though, which makes it look worse.

Still managed to drive the 15 miles to work Hardly any other bugger here though

I've made a schoolboy error! Made it down our South Walian mountain this morning to go out and earn a crust. I did, however, forget that I'd need to make it back up later......it hasn't stopped snowing all morning.

It would be fun in the turbo but alas, can't get all the kids and stuff in it.

Would be better and possibly safer in the L200 but it's a **** ride for 5 hours! (and only does 28 mpg)

So, we'll be going in the BM - there and back on one tank of fuel (650 ish miles) if I'm careful.

I may be gone some time....
