I've not posted in this thread before, but have followed it very closely.
It is atm, ******* it down with snow here (Skegness East coast). If the rest of the info from you ie the temp predictions are as accurate then we should be in a mess by AM tomorrow. Well done Speye91

Correct.

But some of us have to be somewhere else and up to now Speye has been more accurate than any forcasts on the telly

The way you put that sounds like you hope it does

Anything is possible I suppose, coming down quite heavy but then will stop for a bit, doesnt seem to be sticking just yet but I think it might, seeing as its 2 pm and it starts going dark in about an hour and the temp is falling.

If it gets bad, I will nip over with a vintage NEC mobile and some flares in just my vest and sort it all out

No! You just stay there.

What'll be will be.

Ironically, she's been in Sweden and Belgium since Monday, is due to go to Berlin today but it seems there are delays at the airport in Berlin because of snow so she's coming home early.

It'd be funny if she couldn't get here, either.....

Damn, an eend to a few days of peace, having the telly to yourself, wankathons, boozing and takeaways !

Or should I not judge others by my own standards ?

Cheers Fella What i can say its going to get messy over the next few days from Leeds, Southwards.

The temp this morning here in County Durham was 6.5oC,that was at 7.10am.
7.20am as it was hail stoning it was 0.2oC that's a rapid drop within 10 mins.

This was my town this morning.

I think some temp records may be broken this weekend.Tonight i should imagine a low of -9 hre in the North is well possible.

At the moment i think you will be ok,yes the A1 passes through County Durham, but that's a low lying area. Its the Nort of Newcastle Alnwick,Belford, that could be a problem if the Snow hits that far North on Saturday.

Yes.

My neice spends a lot of time working in Belgium and Germany, she came home early this week to avoid the bad weather.

Tell me about it, the doors froze on my Focus (company car) this afternoon. My passenger got in fine on their sheltered side but i couldnt open the drivers door for love nor money.

She had to get in, twist round and push the door open with both feet as i was pulling on the door

I hope nothing gets worse tomorrow.

I'm due to drive up from Leeds tomorrow afternoon. I'm about 10 minutes away and roughly the same height as Consett so hoping it doesnt get hit too bad.

An important meeting had to be cancelled this afternoon because of snow. I was flying my VW back home in cottonwool-ish blizzard. I hope it rains tomorrow to take it all away.
