I guess I've just grown up ..... you will all get to the same realization as I have, in time ..... why pay so much to be the fastest chav in town, to be the fastest to the back of the queue, to make the most noise, to get speeding fines?
Nah, I shall enjoy my Honda Spaceship and enjoy surprising all you STi's out there (maybe I just catch you unawares and that's how I gain an edge?) - could be, sometimes when I had my Impreza, if I wasn't expecting a car to take off I would get stuck waiting for the turbo to spool up. In that time the MilkFloat had got ahead!

Where's the chav bit come from PSL? I aint no chav and neither are any of the other members in the club I belong. In fact, I RARELY see a chav in a scoob unless its an old banger that hasnt been looked after.
The fact that you seem to be identifying Scoob owners as young, out of control, chavvy kidlets is soooo wrong. As for surprising STI owners with you driving, you probably do. They probably wonder why you are still driving.
Most of the bad drivers I encounter seem to be of the "more" mature age. Just like yourself. Have a nice day.
Here is a bad driver I caught on my onboard camera this morning (used for insurance purposes of course): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPpSu0RyerM
He couldnt have been 20 years old. Most chavvy kids cant afford a scoob, let alone the insurance.
As far as the turbo-spool up comment. My 2009 hatch spools up the moment I put my foot on the pedal and is there constantly as I accelerate.
Times have changed old man and reflecting back 25 years ago when you had your scoob certainly does not reflect what is on the road today. As

Oh, dear ... I seemed to have caused a stir ... very unlike me.
All I was really saying is that my Diesel Civic (note Diesel, to the poster who thought I was in a Type R!) ...... with 340nM at my disposal ... and my vast experience ... and my ability to drive extremely well ... can see off a STi driven by a kiddie of under 30 years old (still wet behind the ears and all that).
I didn't mean to get anyone chopping on their keyboard ....

Yes but 340nm sounds far better than 250.74 lbs/ft, the most commonly used measurement of torque in motoring terms is lbs/ft.
You generally find that people only quote in nm when they want to try to impress or they have inadequacy issues.
