no engine warning light

it comes on occassionaly ,is it impossible for it to be connected to the cel ?

no mate im in manchester if you were nearer id borrow you a set to try pm harvey he is in darlington were abouts are you up there as im a trucker and im up your way once a week

Not really no unless the bulbs has gone, As far as i can remember on the newage clocks you can not change the bulb from the rear of the clocks, You have to take them apart as they split into layers.

Might be worth just cleaning the cam sensor as i said this is a common code that the bug`s throw up and its not always down to a faulty sensor, Did he delete the codes? If he did you can get him to check again to see if they have come back, good luck.

you are correct mate ,there is no bulb ,just soldered board .im going to remove the clocks again tommorrow and have a better look for any cut wires etc .
i dunno if he reset codes mate as far as i know hes checking/cleaning all sensors on sat before he fits new ones ,hopefully i can trust his word for this

checked mine this morning and the bulb was missing, swapped it for another and got 3 codes

the car must be in limp mode like mine ,does it not feel slow ?

seems to run lean on boost (bit flat too) also lumpy idle when cold.

got 22 23 and 24 codes


95 wrx with induction and backbox

23-Mass air flow sensor
24-Idle air control solenoid

sorted it, was the knock sensor.

but i couldnt of fixed it without my check engine light

has the op sussed this yet ?
still dont know why my lights not working ,ive took the clocks apart as much as im willing without causing any damage to them and cant see anything wrong ,i can see the led though ,only the back of the circuit board and the area where engine check is actually stamped on the board ,doesnt look like i can peel the black background on the clocks as someone suggested
