So let's understand.... Assuming everything you have said is completely factual 100%, you got somebody to do some work without asking what the estimated time or charge would be?

I personally would have told them to poke it and taken it somewhere else, in the current finacial climate its easy to find someone to do a job cheaper

You got you trousers pulled down as soon as they saw it was a subaru, you then proceeded to be raped everytime they touched your car

Also, when you say change brake discs around what do you mean? Also the flange what was that for?

Not having a go here just trying to make sense.
I've never had a problem with them apart from their Dyno slightly under reading (my excuse)

Does that make it 9 gauges and 39 hours spent fitting

i came on here to find out how long it would take to fit the 3 gauges which i have done so also wanted to find out if the dash needed to come out which i did too and lastly to find out if it mattered if they were cheap gauges which i did so,all these were excuses said to me by power station for the reason of the amount of labour

its not a case of how much, its a case of how long they billed you for. one garage charges £30 an hour, another £50, another £100, a main dealer even more. so its not a matter of price that should be at question, but the amount of hours they billed you to do the job. which seems a lot more than the norm for the work you mentioned.

there are lots of garages near me that wont touch unusal jobs, ie fitting gauges, braided hoses etc, because they dont know how much to charge. i rung my local honda dealership who do everything by the book, and there price to change my brake hoses to goodridge ones were £600 ! ! ! ! which we know is a joke, but they didnt know the work involved, and just went by the manual.

i still think you should have got a written quote of some kind, or a rough price, as you basicly asked to have your pants pulled down here, going into somewhere thats not trustworthy, and then not asking a price/qoute in writing leaves it up to them to try and get as much as they can from you.

good luck getting your money back, lesson learnt for future car work i guess.

We are just trying to work out how you were charged so much mate. Like what the flange was for and why they changed your brakes around
