Wasn't holding boost at the time ... now peaks at 1.9bar & holds 1.8 so expecting a bit more at next RR

That's generally not the case though fella even with supporting mods ... the OPs turbo is a 330-340hp turbo by all accounts with the exception being 340+ and the exceptional minority (3 and counting ) at 380 ...

I understand that TX hence i used the word possibly.

The other 2 cars have produced between 350 and 370bhp. not all 3 have created 380bhp+.

I'm not saying either that if my car was excatly like Iains that it would created 380bhp+ as every car is different.

Anything is possible

My spec at pressent:
vf35 WG ported
440cc injects _limiting me to around 350bhp (had upgraded them but was just a name not in cc my own fault)
hks front mount
hks cat back exhaust system soon to have a decat after tomorrow
simtek ecu
hks DV

Still to come before rr and map
550cc injectors
uprated actuator at 1.0bar

if funds permit
headers
Forge DV

at present i want to change the injectors and actuator once mapped and rr i will then now what i'm pushing. anything over 350bhp on the vf35 turbo would then be a 4th exception

At the moment I'm making 373bhp on a completely untouched VF35, but that is with a 20% mix of methanol. I do wonder what results (if any different) I could obtain by doing the porting and the wastegate, or even moving to an external wastegate as seems to be the trend in America?

if the turbo is holding boost fine there is absolutely no point wasting money on an external wastegate, enlarging the wastegate hole might be beneficial is running high boost levels with/without the meth.

Not sure if you mean boost or general ... ECU is Autronic SM4, boost control is HKS EVC 6. Car is a classic

TX.

I have a feeling it will produce roughly the same power as his last one but will be very interesting to see what and how much difference there might be

Whatever the result, I hope all the parameters line up thereby making the output figure accurate. Whether or not the first figure was dead on, its a very quick car.

You lot make me laugh, my odds are on somewhere between 370 and 380, I say this because if the power @ 1.4 Bar was 380 with an incorrect IT of 40+ deg, (corrected say roughly 360bhp) I still had roughly 0.1bar left in the tank and a mere 4% boost duty change made 10+bhp on the last run, a 370+ bhp run seems in the bag to be honest. I will not keep you waiting the run is booked for 4pm tomorrow the figures will be posted live from the rollers

All winnings to your favourite local charity please

Cheers Iain

My injectors ran out of puff, didnt have a FPR fitted at the time, I was going to go for 400 on it but ended up getting the MD321T+
Mine was still running the top mount so those figures were a little "flat"
I got loads of stick when i first posted up my results back in 2006 as well.
Look forward to one of these turbos breaking the 400bhp mark

Good luck
Graeme
Just think what it would have made on a front mount Graham
