Default 382.8bhp from a VF35 :)

Hi all

Well what can I say, just been down to Subaru4u in Newbury for a power run and ran 382.8bhp on Vpower. I will post up the graphs when I get home.

Very pleased with the results.

Cheers Iain

i didn't even believe so far that this was achievable. So far, the best aggressively tuned impreza with a VF34 (I have seen) had made 370bhp but the engine broke a few months later.

Pretty good figures from a VF35, I know a guy on SIDC who made 370 from his but think this is the first one I know of to hit 380!

Rapid spool no lag, never runs out of puff really, will do 1.68 60ft and 11.80 1/4 running 1.4 Bar. So running at 1.5 and on 888s should see me close to a 10

You keep forgetting to tell people that its not a standard vf35 though
A standard vf35 would not produce those figures.

My thoughts exactly, I needed over 500 to do a 10 in mine and I know someone with over 600bhp who still isn't there yet.

This Vf35 is in a classic. sti ver 3

can't say no more really. Still 11.8 1/4 for a 380bhp car is still very good

Only difference between this and cars at 500bhp IMOA is they would have a high terminal speed.

Wouldn't say 10 sec 1/4mile but could be close. low 11s high 10s if anything with the correct tyres and setup

next drag race session Iain i'm coming with (depending on work of course)

Nothing wrong with having dreams.

What is the spec of your "VF35" ?

A good VF35, on V-Power can get to 340 bhp and a few a little bit more so, to what do you attribute the 380 bhp.

Did not say run a 10 I said close to a 10, and as for the turbo not being standard all I have done is port the wastegate to eliminate the boost creep, and fitted an uprated actuator, so nothing huge really

I can only put it down to the work I have done on the wastegate and Bobs map, I reakon I can get more out of it too as there are a few bits I overlooked

Cheers Iain

Surely the at and it are supposed to be similar numbers otherwise results may vary? I'm, not hot on rr's but know a man who is. Still a bloody good result for a vf35, and I wish mine got that high. Harvey headers and uppipe to start I think...

Dont know about that one, my intake is well heat shielded, the temp sensor must have been sat near the wash from the rad or something lol.
