I walk to the pub (approx 200 yards away) and also to the fridge for snacks, the cupboard for chocolate and the booze cupboard for JD, all a distance of roughly 20 feet. The walk to the car is the killer, I have to go down two flights of steps and walk about 60ft downhill. On the way back it's much tougher.
I walk the dog most days, and every other day I go in the Gym. Depending on what programme is on the tv and how interesting it is, determines my workout time

The main thing is to cycle more and get your **** used to it (fnarr fnarr), I find the gel covers just try to avoid this and dont really help, I can ride every day, for miles and not really notice it on my bum, but when I started I ended up with swellings, or a "Mangina" as we christened it.
