hi mate ... i have the same issue but a misfire on cylinder 1 ... i have replaced the plugs .. replaced the coil pack on cylinder 1 and also the nps switch as this also fires up a misfire so a few posts on here have stated .. i've just added some injector cleaner into the fuel ...also reset my ecu ...my car by the way is a my04 wrx sti type uk ... just waiting on the fuel to go low then going to re-top up and see what happens .. if that dont solve it then its off to dealership for a proper shakedown to see if they can solve it ..

Ok quartz i might try the injector cleaner too. How did you reset the ecu? I have a subaru cat 1 alarm and immobiliser on it and dont want to run the risk of not being able to start it again after disconnecting the battery....If you know what i mean

Yeah understand about the expensive bit, just like children.....LOL and i have two of them.
Budget is king..LOL
I dont mind spending the cash when i know it makes a difference.

Keep in touch i am very interested to see the outcome on both instances, being the fuel and the diagnostics check

So the preat pipe has been gutted and new sensor fitted

Also now have a vf30 and sti intercooler and a decat downpipe. Looking for some pinks and a map
