The Hurricane made snooker. I could not think of anything worse than watching Terry Griffiths, Eddy Charlton, Steve Davis, Ray Reardon etc but along came Higgy from up the road and wow snooker was great. You just never new what Alex was gonna do next.

Anyway - god rest his soul
There was nothing worong with seeing all the early great snooker players, they had a different outlook and were even able to have a bit of a joke while they were playing a big match. The Hurricane fitted in and helped the atmosphere along.
