Very devious indeed, did he specifically say the engine was in good working order? Or when asked did he just say "it was rebuild two years ago and I have receipts to prove"? Either way he's a c**t. And I think this might be his house, looking at the numbers on the other houses. That could even be him stood in the drive.

This would be a great chance to organise a cruise to his house.

Obviously we wouldn't go there to cause violence but we could have a peaceful protest.
Well it wouldn't exactly be peaceful, in that we would have dozens of de cat exhausts with loud backboxes, but I think the point will be made.

That would be brilliant and I for one would be game.

Its quite clear he knows what he is playing at. He has been online AGAIN at 1pm TODAY!! With all the comments left on his profile etc he cant have missed this.

I had hoped he would have atleast tried to explain himself and make amends but I doubt thats going to happen. What a Kn0B!!

Feel for ya mate! Hope you get your motor sorted and some sort of payback from T1T'head!

The person in question is viewing this thread right now.

Please do not make threats veiled or otherwise folks as this *can* be used by the authorities and as such would require us to remove the thread. This will help no one

If the facts are as stated and the person in question did sell a known faulty engine as good then the OP needs to legally pressure him into paying back the money (with costs) or get a solicitor involved.

as we speak, his profile says 'replying to this thread' so we may hear the other side of the story, with a suitable outcome

First things first there are 2 sides to every story for a start the engine was sold for 300 pound not 1000 and the treads about engine being changed was a mates car like when scooby2010 txt me asking is this the engine with the melted piston I told him no so that means he knew how to look at my threads and when he came down for the engine he txt me asking is there anything wrong with the engine and I simply txt him saying I bourt a subaru for 450 pound and when it was idling it was missfiring and I didn't frive the car cause it had no tax or mot and I dint buy the car for the engine I bourt it for the shell 2 put a 2.5 non turbo engine in for a rd rally do engine came stright out with out test driving it only hered it idel for 5 minns and it was missfireing and he was imformed about this and have the txt to prove this if he wants to take it to a small claims I'm happy to go and for people posting the adress of that house I think you should stop and stop the threats about people comming to see me and stop them about the nirtomors I think a lot of lies have been told her and you havel jumped the gun

When he came down for the engine he text me asking if there is anything wrong with the engine. I simply replied him saying I had bought a Subaru for £450, that when it was idling it was misfiring and that I didn't drive the car because it had no tax or mot. I didn't buy the car for the engine, I bought it for the shell to put a 2.5 non turbo engine in for a road rally so the engine came straight out without test driving it. I only heard it idle for 5 minutes (it was misfiring) and he was imformed about this. I have the text to prove this so if he wants to take it to a small claims I'm happy to go. As for people posting the address of that house, I think you should stop; and stop the threats about people coming to see me. Stop them about the 'no tomorrows' as I think a lot of lies have been told here and you have all jumped the gun.

Its a whitch hunt.

yes your right there is 2 sides to every story. but when you look at the threads posted in this thread and you see that you knew the poston had melted and that fact that the seal had gone and then you sell the engine to someone else with a misfire issue that is a major concern.

i agree you should both deal with this off the site (just the same as i am doing with someone i sold parts to that got damaged in the posted. but im communicating with them and even helping with the damages) all you had to do was email. pm or even answer text or phone and you didnt. its only now you are replying. that shows your guilty.

not against you in anyway just trying to point out how it looks

OK, im not taking sides here!
So in translation:

You purchased a broken Impreza for £450, and dont say you didnt know it was broken because there is only one type of impreza for £450. You then went on to sell the engine of the above broken car to the guy that started the thread for £300.

Ok, i have a couple of questions that may help your cause if you have answers to them.

How did you get in touch with the buyer and do you have any link to the original advert? If you can start us off with this i am happy to listen to your side of the story but saying that the engine had a bit of a knock when the piston was melted etc is a little understatement on your part as i would have thought it would sound like a right bag of hammers!!

Maybe you genuinly didnt know how bad the damage was, but you do seem to have knowledge of scoobs so this is a little difficult to believe.

Now the final question and most important one is:

Are you going to do anything about it even just out of common courtesy since the engine did come out of a busted impreza that cost you peanuts in the first place and you only wanted for the shell?????

Wouldn't it also be advisable for a mod to remove/edit any post with personal information of the accused. i.e home address and phone numbers?

I'm neutral here so I don't care either way.
