thanks again guys.spent the day on the car today, cleaned up under the bonnet a little, took the turbo and headers off as there was a blowing around the uppipe which turned out to be the weld that has cracked at the top of the uppipe,so that needed doing anyway.but the thing that was bugging me was my boost gauge stopped working and the car wasn't boosting, also tickover was up and down.i had checked all the pipes but couldnt see nothing until tweeks bobbed his head under the bonnet and spotted a broken t piece on one of the vac pipes.this explanes the symptoms so hopefully when all is put back together fingers crossed she will be good as new.this has been a very close call as i could have very easily lost everything and more.i carnt stress enough now i have been through this how important a little thing like a fire extinguisher is and for piece of mind how everyone should have one.anyway now this is all hopefully getting back to normal sorry i missed out on today (but i think i had a genuine excuse) so for those who did go,how did you do and what times did you get.

Mate, glad you, your lass and ya car are all ok, I know you have had some bad luck mate and some would say this is a further example, but I think you have been very lucky! Especially buying the fire ext before it happened, with out that good luck things could have been much much worse mate!
Anyway glad it looks like not too much damage and hopefully easliy sorted, Gis a shout If you want a hand with anything mate!
P.s never mind the bits I bought off ya other day, fitting me fire ext next job!

glad to hear the car is ok and damage is minimal
took a fire extinguisher with us just in case.
the blobeye didnt run unfortunately as the engine management light came on, on the way down
the gto was such a pain the backside. its too heavily modified and we dont know what half the stuff does, the car came by mistake from japan when my firned used to import and has been parked up for the last 2 years.
anyway first run my mare got 14.8 but the launch control was kicking in every gear for some reason so wouldnt rev over 5.5k
it came back round, we flicked a few switches on the car . disabled a digital rev thingy which we didnt know what it did.. but the same thing happened again and he ended up with 14.2 this time.
3rd run we pulled the telephone cable out of the dash and plugged it into the other socket on the dash.. and it revved perfect with no launch control.
took it out and it got 12.2 seconds and it revved to 7k this time but hit limiter at 6k in 4th for some reason and bounced back to 3krpm..
4th run we turned the dials in the glove box on the vein pressure unit to max and it was revving to 8.5k perfectly.
took it out, and my friend messed the launch up it bogged down twice against the black pulsar but as soon as it took off it looked to be catching up until something flew off the car which the guy on the speaker said looked like a ceramic brake disk lol and my friend breaked when he heard the bang. got 12.8 on that run althought he breaked before finish line
had a look at the car and the belt that runs the waterpump had come off, and the face that holds the belt onto the crank was missing.
luckily found someone with a recovery truck there who lived 20mins from us who offered to take it home
all in all good day, and i should be running my car alongside the gto next month.. hopefully 11seconds this time in the gto, if not 10's. just need to understand what all the buttons in the car does..lol
