This isn't a Which Would You Rather Own thread though

TX.

Edit - & there can't be that many cars can beat a Veyron in a straight line. I'd bet money that it's less than 5 (proven to beat it BTW) ...

A Veyron runs the quarter in the low 10s, there's plenty of street cars in the 9s.

Kin mega quick Veyron, it's just a big circle big super cars get faster and then the rice boys get more clever, it will never end, but as for me it has to be the Veyron.

Go to Santa Pod or Shakespeare County raceway for pretty much any event and you'll see loads.

There's at least 5 or 6 street legal Skylines running 9s, never mind all the other makes and models. There's even a bloody Honda Civic locally runs low 10s.

Well some run in street series type events that require an MOT, insurance, treaded tyres, tax etc. so yes.

I am not sure the car in the video was strictly street legal either - if nothing else it is very loud!

Why are people so obssessed with the Veyron?.....if I was a multi-millionaire I still wouldn't want one, never ever, there are so many more exciting drivers cars you can have a garage full with money left over, not to mentioned special tuner cars from the likes of Hennessey,9ff, Lingenfelter etc that are as fast and feel just as special, and then there's cars like the Ultima GTR720 that hold records and tick so many more boxes for its performance. Sorry but the Veyron is just an overpriced and outragerously expensive hyper car to own and run, its quick, but no thanks.

Thumbs up to highly tuned Supras or Skylines that kick their ***.

According to Bugatti, they advise you require at least £30m sitting in the Bank to run one!

Taking everything into account, if I had the money, it would be a Veyron everyday of the week. Something that is reportedly so easy to drive and exploit, rare and master class engineering.

Even if I had the money, there are many, many cars I would own before a Veyron. They leave me totally cold - a conquest of money over engineering IMHO.

The thing i found amusing was after the race when driving back the guy in the video had to wind his window down (probably before he fainted from the heat) and the bloke in the Veyron was probably cruising back with music on in the comfort of air-con

Veyron all the way, it's an astonishing piece of engineering
