A highly tuned R34 has absolutely nothing to do with a chav or chavs in general.
God, I'd love to know your opinion of me as I drive a beaten up £500 Peugeot 106

A classic car with great handling and cheap running costs. Price has nothing to do with it.

The 1.1 variant which rolls like a boat in the corners.
Ofcourse price has something to do with it Mattais Chavs buy cheap barried up cars. That Skyline will have several ££ under the bonnet and is purpose built.

I'm gonna side with Mattee on this, at the end of the day a Nissan will only ever been a Nissan. I wouldn't be too bothered about being beaten by a datsun as i sat snuggly in my plush interior.

Without watching the video (frankly, who cares? ) I'm guessing this a highly modified Skyline beating a Veyron?
So, a highly modified performance cars beats an out of the expensive box model.
Wow, who'd of thought it?
I'm with Mattee on this one.

It's all a bit pointless if you ask me. Anyone with the right kind of money can choose to make a Veyron beating car that has no sound proofing, a clunky gearbox as a fully stripped out racer.
So what? There are lots of very fast race and drag cars.

The R34 in the first video is not a drag car, its a highly tuned street car which would be street legal even in UK. It wasnt brought in a trailer, it doesnt have a chute and the guy drives it quiet often off the drag strips. Yes it cant compare to veyron in the build and interior quality department, but it cost 1/10th the price of a veryon to build so i personally think its well worth the effort.
There are plenty of cars that are more comfortable in the city and do not use as much petrol as the veyron and its not like you need any of that performance the veyron has to drive every day, doing 5mpg with a 70 mph limit. What is the point of a veyron as a comfortable cruiser then ? Just to show off ? Dont really think that people who can afford a veyron need more attention.
Why not have one bonkers car like this R34 to enjoy the speed and beat veyrons once in a while and have one diesel mercedes to drive day to day ? And all for 1/10th of a price.

It's not hard to build a Skyline that'll beat a Veyron in raw accelerative terms up to 1 mile. To get the same PWR only needs about 850bhp in an R33. But even if you "beat" a Veyron, it still doesn't make it as good as a Veyron

As NR said - there are plenty of 'Veyron beating' Skylines (and Evos and a few Scoobs) with the right kind of power.
I still think the comparison is pointless.
And to your point about rich people - do you really think a lot of Veyron buyers are not buying them to show off? Maybe not all but many will be. If anything, many rich people like to show off more than most - one of the reasons why they are rich!

Yep... very rarely do I agree with Mattee but on this one I do.
A veyron... out-of-the-box luxurious place to be gets beaten by a heavily modded skyline that will, probably, not be the greatest place to spend many hours .....
Lets face it, there are many many highly-tuned (probably running ethanol) street cars out there that could give the veyron a run for its money but which would you rather own ........... I just proved my point!
