I'll make you feel even older now fella nearly 2 years even further on, was looking for something else and google threw this one in the mix. Still sound advice though wonder if his engine survived

interesting read, iv got a recon engine going in my 96 uk spec 2000 turbo, new everything.
What is the recommended Maximum boost you can run without any supporting mods please.
Just thinking if its worth while with a new engine in.
Thanks

hi guys and girls,

I have a 2008 wrx hatchback. I'm assuming my turbo is a td04! I already have a full mongoose exhaust all the way up to the turbo with a cosworth panel filter but wanted to add a Harvey trick up pipe also with a remap. What's the maximum bhp I could get out of my car with all this added ?

Cheers

about 270-290 bhp but as u have the hatch its be 2.5l so you should make good torque i think they make about 330-350lbft on the hatches with a td04 and roughly the mods ur listing. the mapper may say to upgrade your fuel pump too.

I was thinking about upgrading the fuel pump anyway mate as they aren't really expensive! That's good to know! I don't wanna go to far Incase of engine problems along the line somewhere...thanks for that bud

the fancy uppipe won't be adding much to a 2.5 WRX as they already have pretty good spool up (large engine, tiny turbo). Unless your planning to upgrade the turbo later on?

Normally all you need is a decat, panel filter and fuel pump to get things whooshing along nicely.

I'm not too sure about the decat route with them being illegal! I already have a cosworth filter on it and a sports decat and was hoping just maybe a new fuel pump to bring it up to hopefully around 280 then that would be my lot...just want a better response and more oomph really mate
