Yeah your right. Im still playing it quite a lot online even with the bugs and the annoying penalty distribution. Not sure how that will last though. Its no MW2

Seems they at least fixed the leaderboard delayed updates as seems to be fairly instant now. Weird thing is Ive won 19 races but the next chap up from me almost on identical XP has won 56. If hes won that many why is his XP not higher?

Not so much ignored, but we just ran out of time. We pushed back manufacturing as late as we could, but we simply couldn't move from the street-date as this was our 'window'. As well as our QA team, all games go through stringent testing at Sony and Microsoft. To some extent, all games companies rely on this final pass of testing to be sure the product is as bug free as possible.

Work is underway on the patch, I have no info on its release date though

Either I got better or there are plenty of crap players online today (most likely the latter). Just won 9 straight races inc 3 rounds at Suzuka

Was he called mrcodes by any chance? he has been ruining a few games lately with his poxy hacks and infections.

I actually gave up on this game today and had to go for a long walk to calm myself down. How this game ever passed QA I will never know. I've been in the games industry for over 15 years, and spent the first four working in and then running a QA department across multiple platforms and it's got some of the worst bugs I've ever seen in a retail release console title.

Today I drove a frankly epic race in heavy rain on full difficulty from 13th on the grid to second place, genuinely exciting and inspiring gameplay, only to then go from second to 13th on my pitstop because my crew wouldn't let me back into the pitlane despite some very sizeable gaps.

I restarted the race out of frustration, drove another storming race up to third, used a different pit strategy to avoid congested pitlane, and then upon overtaking for second place, Alonso turned into me and I got a drive-through penalty!! I very nearly snapped the disc.

These are not little annoying bugs, these are very serious gameplay issues that do real damage to Codemasters' credibility. I cannot remember the last time I was so frustrated playing a game. I certainly won't be switching back on until there is a patch.

Surely that's realism? Everybody knows Ferrari never get penalised.

Whatever my last post date on this thread wass, was the last time I played it.

At first it looked good, but then I realised it would never touch Geoff Crammonds/Microprose GP on the Amiga 500.

And that only needed 512k.

Do Codemasters have any credibility? They couldn't even pr tthe Amiga 500 version of Sensible Soccer to the 360 without delaying it for months.

I'm not hopeful for F1 2011 - as they say, you can't polish a turd.

Please hire Geoff Crammond. If he could make a better game with 512k in those days, compared to what you lot have available these days, you'd have a guaranteed number 1.

I played that game for three years after it was released and wish I still could. F1 2010 - I've completed 3 races and don't wantto play it.

Sir Geoff, I believe, wrote the first one single handedly. I think by GP3 he had a team.

Those days of gaming genius are long gone. It's all about pushing gfx to the max (although I do think F1 2010 looks 'last year') or having 'realistic crash physics'...

The most annoying bug is the stupid length of time they hold you in the pitlane. It is not realistic, end of. a couple if extra seconds, fine, but not 17 fecking seconds! It means I can never use the ideal statagy. Also, when I pit with a damaged front wing, they change the tyres yes, but for the same ones that im on! Yeah sure, that's realistic.

I really hope a patch will be out before xmas, as although these complaints seem minor, they wreck the whole simulation experience.

Aaargh playing online. Come around a chicane to find a red bull in the middle of the track and t-bone him. Automatic 10 sec penalty as blames me for collision. Yet next race an opponent can tap me from behind twice and nothing. So frustrating

Another bug - coming out of the pits the game decides to change my car view for no reason. ARGHHHHH!!!! How many more bugs are there?

I do still like the game and the graphics are pretty special......but please please please bring a patch out asap to sort the issues!

This thread is a great advert for not buying this game !

Such a shame as it seems the game has all the attention to detail but has been ruined by all these bugs like a giant meccano set bolted together in a rush with the final article looking nothing like the p[icture on the box, reminds me of Homers BBQ .

Ohh, that is the fella that felt the e-rage backlash from gamers over Dragon Rising, i actually felt a little sorry for him at one point, i used the frequent the forums a lot at the time.

He must have a nightmare job!

Have you tried the game since the update, what do you think, still as annoying as before?
