Even if I do seriously disagree myself with what he said, I prefer to see fair play.

I think that passing such a remark as yours above is far closer to trolling than anything that he said. it is tantamount to taking advantage with a cheap criticism.

Les,

There's a difference between posting one's own beliefs and published material (lets be serious here and not simply accept everything in the news is a "fact") and the continued and tiresome regurgitation of the same old "opinion" with the aim of trying to wind other users up.

You've been around long enough to know what Pete's history is. All of the evidence is stacked very firmly in the trolling (for want of a better word) camp. Perahps you forget that as a former and resonably long serving Moderator I was party to events which you were not.

Personally I am happy to rebut Pete on here and call him out time and time again, but that doesn't mean that I can't have an "opinion" too. - Oh, and it is a point of fact that the PS Lewis user account was banned for his continual trolling.

You don't have to look further than this very thread:

That's a FACT - like it or not!
Labour did not save the world from financial collapse. The assertion that they did is nether a fact, as continually asserted by Pete, nor has it been evidenced to any degree by him at any time, despite being asked to do so many times.

It has, however, been countered with structured and sensible comment which Pete has no answer for. Even in very basic terms, the arena within which Brown's views may be heard, let alone acted upon, is simply not large enough to address the issues of the global economy.

I believe he's trolling, you apparently don't. Lets agree to disagree

He has clearly saved your life, and now has borrowed money off a passer-by to pay for your taxi to hospital for you to recover fully ................ that's the truth of what has happened!

When what should have happened is that when Brown saw the mugger running at you with he knife before before the attack, he should have firstly have intervened to make sure that the attack, whilst difficult to prevent entirely, was just a theft, not a potentially fatal stabbing, and if unable to do so because the mugger was too fast, at least have had dressings to stem the flow of blood and the cash on him to pay for your taxi to hospital.

Your version may have certain comparative elements Pete, but that doesn't mean that its not still an abysmally poor effort in the grand scheme of things.

If there was no passer by from whom to borrow money, you would surely have died on the spot. And full recovery after being stabbed 6 times is of course highly subjective. That recovery is likely to take many, many years and carry enormous healthcare costs.

No I would not argue over it-waste of time in my book. Your are entitled to believe what you want-rightly.

I don't think he was trolling in the meaning of the word. He was and still does post his own beliefs which are diametrically opposed to most others, including my own. He is entitled to his opinions and posting them does not make him a troll.

There will always be some who will jump on the bandwagon either because they disagree or in many cases, just as an excuse to slam someone for personal pleasure or because they want to go with the flow!
