I wonder if it would be worth ringing up your local radio station H and getting a free-bit-o-advertising by saying WMI will be going through brum (nearer the date) for charity or do you think that might attract some unwanted attention from the rozzers?

What about stopping at certain parts (the busiest parts) and someone getting out with a bucket to snag the public into chucking a couple of quid in? Ive got a family-guy stewie outfit at home which I would be more than happy to put on to raise a couple of quid....

Maybe make it a fancy dress tunnel run for a good laff and raise some extra money?

hey carl, all the above has been considered for the past 8 or so TR's I have done over the years.

We do not want any unwanted attention (Police included) and you need a street collecting license to collect on the streets.

The event runs great as is trust me
All you need to do is turn up and donate your fiver bud

Kosta, I was going to tell you to “take a chill pill” and “Have a laugh”, but because of the amount of people reacting to my post I can only assume I am in the wrong.
As a result I would just like to offer an unreserved apology, in no way did I mean to offend or upset you, it was mealy an attempt at a bit of light hearted humour!

To the point that when I was typing this I was pi$$ing myself, I had totally expected you to come back with some witty retort to which we could have had a bit of fun with, obviously I got this completely wrong. (just fyi it was in fact a line I nicked from Fawlty Towers, Basil talking to Sybil)

Im my defence, I didn’t realise that having a bit of fun and friendly banter was no longer acceptable on this site.

H, apologies mate, also in my defence I had asked a perfectly serious question, now I know my iq is only 139, hence I am obviously no rocket scientist, but even I had considered popping over to my local dealer to pick one up, what I actually wanted was some constructive advise.
But taking that all into consideration please note that I have indeed “wound my neck in” and have booked myself in for a frontal lobotomy to hopefully eradicate any future unwanted bouts of humour!

Don't worry I didn't take offense merlin. It was just one of those "huh?" moments to be honest! It didn't seem as though you had considered a Subaru dealership.. so to me it was constructive. But ho hum, as I say, no offense taken.
