You're missing the point: if they say they will improve communication, that's even MORE money from the government.

So, now the IPCC scientists (Professor Mojib Latif, a leading member of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) are predicting a new ice-age, but it doesn't alter the long term trend for warming....

I mean, WTF???? If the forecast is wrong then how much bleddy difference does it make how it's communicated???????????????????

Dave
Notice how they quote lots of alarmists like "Professor Chris Folland from the Met Office" and "Andrew Watson, a Royal Society environment fellow from the University of East Anglia's school of environmental sciences" and "climate scientist Mike Hulme" and "Professor Stephen Mobbs, director of the National Centre for Atmospheric Science at Leeds University" (and even "Matt Huddlestone, who deals with public understanding at the Met Office") but only briefly mention Piers Corbyn who continues to get long-term forecasts spot-on! At least the BBC do provide a link to WeatherAction - albeit AFTER a link to the supposedly incorrect Met Orifice!

They got it slightly wrong, it wasn't the new statesman but new scientist.

The story is in 1999 some guy says he's coming to England with some new figures on part of the glacier, gets interviewed, and then 5 years later, its fact included in the IPCC report, when it was never even peer reviewed. This is the great scientific consensus! PAH!

Thats the IPCC all over..

Still - at least the members of the IPCC are getting plenty of funding for their individual niche research projects.. not that I'm suggesting that politically unbiased, open minded Scientists would never manipulate data in order to fit their own agenda... *ahem*

Oh.. flog me for being skeptical, I forgot that according to the Great BBC I'm some kook who's flying in the face of scientifically completely sound guess work.. sorry.. "fact".

Whats bothering me is that the UK is one of the front-runners in converting the worlds population to the religion of climate change.

When it all unwinds and the world realises that all is not quite what is being preached, our country will be seen as a laughing stock, or worse probably

Politician - From the Greek 'polis' which means 'Lying, thieving b@$t@rd'.

United Nations - Collective noun for a group of lying, thieving b@$t@rds.

It was reported that the head of the IPCC has no qualifications with respect for Climate and its control.

The Times article about the report of the glaciers melting by 2035 was published in 1969 by a man who also is unqualified and had done no research either!
