I've got a feeling thats the last we'll be hearing from stevewrx555!

Don't take that the wrong way though Steve, I wouldn't want you and your mates to track me down!

I hope SRR didn't charge JGM for the time that Stevewrx555 wasted.

The thing is you can not please everybody all of the time, It doesn't matter how good a service you offer there is always a rotten apple . This goes for any service you do,not just with cars.
I had my car mapped my Simon and he done everything I asked, a safe map and a car that was smooth to drive on the road. The car made 333 bhp on SRR rollers then checked on the road by him self.
After a few months I felt the car was not quite right under heavy acceleration ,it was just holding back a little, I contacted Simon and he gave me loads of available dates that he could check it over for me. Once he had the car on the road and plugged his box of tricks in he knew straight away that the timing had advanced. He put this right and after a few fast and slow runs everything was back to normal.
Now I don't know a lot about mapping so I cant say if this fault would of happened if I had not originally had the map in the first place but Simon was only to pleased to check the car and correct it for no exchange of money. He also reassured be if the fault does come back to give him a call straight away so he can sort it.So all in all I'm very pleased and happy

like the sti3 type r yesterday with standard engine, standard gearbox and a td05 20g turbo which left with 400bhp.. the customer wanted as much out of it as possible and that's what he got, but the car was presented well maintained, anything that should be done was done already, sometimes cars arrive with exhaust leaks or oil leaks or other minor issue but it impacts the end result.

Did a totally standard P1 on a simtek last month.. owner wanted a 95ron map and a 99ron map.. if I remember correct is was 250bhp on 95ron and 305bhp on 99ron.. with standard cats etc..

As said you cannot please all the people all the time.

Simon

The ecu had retarded the timing.. perhaps bad fuel at some point but it was mystery why it hadn't adjusted itself back once good fuel was in it.. there was no reason on the tank of fuel it was on when I rechecked it that it shouldn't go back to normal.
so I reset it so it did.. we then checked it and all was fine..
It is unusual.. normally if the ecu picks up an issue and pulled timing the reason it has done it remains or it was just fuel and it advances itself back.. strangely your car didn't.
But all fine since I presume?

Yeah still all good
Altho now and again I do still get a slight hesitation on boost but I can live with that.

Shocking post. I had problems in the past with a different mapper which brought me to JGM & in all honesty after the first map I was not only pleased to have my car running again but overly haps with the 320- 320 results. This led to me returning for a 2nd map last month which has me even more pleased begging the question as to whether or not for the new year i add a vf34-35 or an 18g as want a good responsive dd but with approx 370 top end. Many thanks Simon as you have answered alot of questions from me.

I recall a thread that i read not so long ago. i tried to find it but the search engine is not to friendly. basically the thread is in regards to a guy who got his scoob mapped with the S206 turbo by JGM and found that the car was not mapped to the way he required so he then chose to go with Alan jefferries who mapped his car to the exact way he wanted. The OP also mentions that it was the first for JGM in regards to mapping the S206 turbo.

i have only asked shared my experience & raised my concern's but it seem's as many have been offended.

P.S slowboy does have a bad reputation
If you was listening to my Convo when Simon was mapping my car at SRR then you have met Simon and you come on here talking $hit about him

I wont get back on to the engine tuner crap as its got nothing to do with this thread and ive chatted to them about it

so your sweeping statement is based on something you read on here about one car and you don't know the full story about.. which I have deliberately avoided posting about as I didn't see the need to start a tuner war.. the turbo was supplied by the second tuner and they replaced it before they remapped it.. there was an issue with the turbo imho when I mapped it. Had there not been I would have been happy to push it further.

You could have got much more than that, if you werent mapping for 'safety, not fun!' That STi Singh character is having a laugh, those results are staggering!!!!
