Simon has been mapping my car for over 4 years, I have never been able to fault his mapping. On many occasions he has gone out of his way to help me, even lending me a gearbox last year (which I still have!) to get me out of trouble. He will be mapping my Solaris/Syvecs, MD321V, 2.5CDB very soon and believe me it will not be a "laime" or even "lame" map.

Yes, but just think how much more power anyone else might have got

I asked JGM to make sure mine lasted to the end of this year.... and it has ! LOL

When I asked if "we" could run more boost he simply pointed out my initial request above....

Then mentioned adding an AVCR to up the boost, and map to suit. I chicken'd out.

So another vote for the JGM from me

I can't imagine a standard STI motor withstanding much more "hammer" than mine gets......

me 2. great job to get the best out my car with all my mods. he will do the best to keep your car safe, with best performance. why would he buy thouands of pounds of technology if he was gonna do a poor job. i dont think he'd wanna leave a customer unhappy an stay with you until everthink is great. also my opinion a live road map is better that a rolling road map

Hi Steve,

I only map cars because I enjoy it, and continue to do so only because people are happy with the results (Thankfully looking at this thread that is the case). Having given this a lot of thought, you seem unpleaseable.
You came to me for a remap because you were unhappy with your previous mapper (I should have seen the warning sign).
I don't charge per hour it is a fixed fee and I only charge because if I didn't I would have to work full time doing something else and couldn't map cars.. I am not in it for the money just the fact it earns me money means I can do what I love, it is a passion and I am just lucky enough to be able to run a business doing it.
I spent a long time sorting your car, including changing the coilpacks and we spent ages removing the seized bolt in your downpipe which then ate my £60 sensor which I just swallowed the cost of. (it seized in the thread).
The car had a misfire, hence the coilpack swap and this improved but didn't fully remove the issue (they were secondhand, but the fact that the misfire was gone at lower boost then and was only present at higher boost proved it was spark related).
You then went away with a car you were much happier with as you say above "felt good" this was at low boost because of the misfire.
I gave suggestions to fix the issue - new spark plugs and new coilpacks, compression test.
You then came to the dyno I use having said it was fixed.
It wasn't and misfired straight away... I whilst delaying the other couple of cars waiting to go on the rollers removed all four spark plugs and regapped them.. this again moved the issue to slightly high boost again showing the issue was spark related.
Whilst then finishing off the map at unfortunatly slightly lower boost than we had hoped for it went stupid rich (suspected a boost leak).. on looking around no obvious leaks could be found.
The car was then removed from the dyno and everything was explained to you.

You then refused to pay the dyno time when it had spent over 2hours on the dyno, and the operator was generious to only charge you for a power run.. around a 1/3 of the cost it should have been. The dyno had done it's job and allowed the car to be checked and diagnostics done.. iirc we ran the car with the bonnet open looking for a leak on the dump valve and several other possibilities.
I don't run the dyno its not mine, if it was I wouldn't have charged you until sorted but it is not my dyno, and I thought his offer of just a power run was very generous.. I didn't charge you anything having spent a large amount of time fixing issues with your car, which were not mapping issues but mechanical issues, which you said you had fixed already.

You then irrc started swearing at the dyno operator and drove off.

You then rang me and seemed unable to take in what you were being told and had been told already, after me explaining it several times you started swearing and calling me names like a school kid.

I have no intention of returning any money to you, infact I should charge you for the time spent on the car, but I won't.

Irrc I said returning your money may happen when you were saying you "would track me down with your mates and give me a good pasting".

Do have a good Christmas

Simon

Ye last time. dont know if you remeber early this year at Surrey rr your exact words were "i put my car one engine tuner's roller's and it made good power. when you place your car on srr your car made less power & how Alan jefferries roller's are ****" those were your exact words. So dont even try and deny this.

i have only asked shared my experience & raised my concern's but it seem's as many have been offended.

P.S slowboy does have a bad reputation

"Like this one time at band camp" . I don't remember anything else apart from the words "Thank you"

Why oh why do people turn up to dyno runs for the second time without addressing the previous problems!!!
What a waste of time for everyone!!

I've been told off by Simon for not sorting my FPR out. And going by the reply, sod it I'll leave it like it is.

I hope stevewrx555, takes the time to read and understand Simon's long and detailed post.
I am shocked at JGM's patience with this clearly very angry young man.

+1 for another very happy JGM customer.

And stevewrx555 you had the nerve to come on here and slag him off???? that's some cheek fella....the mans trying to help you and the motor out and that's how you treat him....I mean tbh honest i'm surprised that SRR didn't charge him for theft and get the cops involved indeed very generous of them.
