What an utterly useless bowling line up. On a pitch that swings, seams and bounces higher than any other pitch on the tour our bowlers can't take wickets when the SA bowlers ripped us apart. Why Onions was dropped I will never know, Sidebottom is rubbish. SA are going to make a laughable total and then bowl us out for sub 200 again We also seem to lack genuine quick bowlers to pick for England and so never get the opposition beaten for pace.

I agree proper PROPER fast bowling seems to be a dying art. We can't blame the pitch and apart from 1 bad decision we just seemed to throw the wickets away.
Still we know we can pad and dead ball till the cows come home and we only need to draw

Unfortunately Harper is more 12th man for SA than 3rd umpire. 40 odd for 2 would have been interesting

In all honesty, is KP doing enough to keep his place in the team at the moment?
Bell having had his "one in 18 months innings" is back to form again.
This will be over by lunch.
