The Cayenne, X5 and the Tribeca are a "bit Susan Boyle" in the looks department for me. I much prefer the Lexus RX.

As they say "if she sounds good on the phone....................add two stone!"

All a bit subjective. The Tribeca and Cayenne are somewhat "visually challenged" but the X5 IMHO is the best of a bad bunch (SUVs that is). The RX has to be the worst of the lot though !!
I still don't get the appeal of SUVs but then I don't have to drive ours until we go on holiday.

After all the shopping about it looks like we should be picking up a 4.41 X5 next week ish, For the money I wanted to spend the X5 ended up making the most sense.
I still really like the Porsche but the X5 is fully loaded, big petrol engine and looks awesome.
Thanks for the advice from everyone, it did help. If the deal goes through I will post some pictures.

Good choice, they are fantastic cars, the image is ok nowadays as the RR Sport and others have taken the brunt of the backlash these days, damn handsome and ok it wont be economical but i have a poxy 2.0 Saab Aero that ate through £65 quids worth of VPower in 200 miles, I cant imagine the X5 is much worse !

Should be a very nice motor Guessing that'll be the first generation shape one as well, which look much nicer IMO - much more aggressive and purposeful that the lastest shape.

I don't know if those use run-flat tyres or not, but bet the tyres are expensive either way!
