Would anyone who has replaced their gear shift like to sell me their standard one for £15.00?

Question

Decisions decisions,

The first scoob I drove was a my97 with a quick shift, and I was sure I'd want one on my car when I got it - and £70 is nothing if it gives you an improvement.

I am however pretty happy with the gear change on my00 wrx jap import.
Can someone tell me if the gear shift on the wrk jap import is the same as the uk my00 (in which case everyone seems to be saying the difference is worth it) or if my wrx is the same as an sti, in which case there may not be much difference.

Thanks

Chaps,

I have a UK MY00 and went to order this quickshift as it does look a bargain, but it comes up on the Scoobyshop as a pre MY97 description.

B4 I part with my hard earned can anyone (read Simon or GGR) definitively tell me if it will fit my motor.

Muchos grassyarse!

Question

Would the short shift cure that horrible "I will not go into first until you are at 0 mph" feeling?

Question

FAO MIKE WOOD,

Why is the Prodrive Quickshift so much more expensive? Are there any differences to the GGR type shifter and yours? Will your quickshifter make my WRX MY01 gearbox feel like a P1?

Any advise - please post before end of the week!!!

Cheeky Jim

I also am struggling to order the right model for MY99. E-mailed SCOOBYSHOP with the errors and will post when I get the info back.

Hi All

To select which version you want...

Add the quickshift to your basket.

Go to your basket and choose the option you want from the list next to the quickshift in your basket.

Then click "Submit changes"

Best regards

I've just noticed an element of one of PTMW's previous replies namely:

"Wayne said/implied that it was better value than Prodrive kit certainly as far back as MY97 as linkages would/should not be worn/too worn."

Does this mean it would be a waste of time on my 94 UK car (57k miles)?

To answer my own question ( - 'cos it doesn't appear as if anyone else is going to!) I rang GGR and asked them.

It appears that although they list three models of the quickshift lever on their website, they are now only really marketing the first two. The third one (99/00) comes with its own special bush, but apparently hasn't been particularly successful. The guy said that it's not as positive in feel as the 97/98 model, which he says is fine for 99/00 cars.

Hi Pete

sorry for the delay in responding. We have been on to GGR and they are responding by fax to all queries which will be posted on the board in reply once we get it.

Cheers

There are two versions of this lever in the shop, one for pre-97 cars, and one for 97-2000.

On Graham Goode's site, however, there are three different part numbers, one for pre-97, one for 97-98, and one for 99-2000.

Presumably, the second one corresponds to the 97-2000 one in the shop. So what is different about the 99-2000 lever, and why isn't it one of the options in the shop?

(Concerned, as I placed an order yesterday, for a MY00, before I looked at GGR's site!)

Pete C,

I did exactly the same yesterday, as I started looking at boost gauges on Graham Goode's site and came across the Quickshift's. I to have placed the order, but am now unsure of the differences between the 3 parts.

So, for reference, when you are packing my Order, it's a W plate MY00.

Thanks Buddies!!

Question

I assume we just get the lever for £70 ?
I also assume it just reduces the fore/aft movement, not the side to side ?

Is the £250 Prodrive quick shift just a lever like the GGR ?

Does this deal end on Friday or Saturday ?

Ta Pete
