Hi,
we have done loads of SC46 Billets on 2.0 ltr new age STI cars, they usually do around 420 BHP on straight "V" power and 450 to 460 on a 20% methanol mix.
If pushed harder with supporting mods there is no reason that they wont hit the 500 BHP mark, its smaller brother the SC42 Billet hit 475 BHP on a 2.0 ltr with 20% meth last week, its all there to see about 3 pages back.
cheers

Kev, what do you class as supporting mods?
Mines got GT Headers, 3inch decat, Walbro pump, FPR, Front mount, Inner wing induction, 800cc injectors, simtek.
Just waiting for the new year for the front mount to go on and with a bit 20% meth mix would you expect 500bhp?

Hi,
yes stuff like that, but please don't set your sights to high and end up disappointed with 450BHP.
Remember its is an SC46 Billet rated to 460BHP, its the more aerodynamic, lightweight Billet wheel that they use which gives them the edge.
If you notice from page one of this epic thread the figures have got better and better all down to little tweaks on the wheel as they have evolved.
cheers

Yes that did cross my mind, but i did wonder why so much more people seem to go with the 46 over of the 42 despite keeping their cars around the 400 mark. Maybe the 46 would be best if you had plans to take it even higher in the future? But if i aim to stick at 400, the 42 is the one for me

sc46 billet twin-scroll all mapped now the engine is run-in, but due to a "wobbly wheel" i cant post a dyno-run. The car got up to about 3500rpm and the wheel wobble sent the rollers into slow-mode. I will get the wobble sorted and api will try again. Propels down the road nicely though..

Enjoy your new engine and turbo mate.

I remember when I first put my foot down in mine after it was mapped and my *** started twitching

I dont think it would be right to compare, as the old engine was a 2.0ltr sti and the new one is a forged 2.5ltr. The old engine block was sound, but the compression was stuffed due to bent valves, so Pat didnt want to map the vf37 to its max. The new engine is certainly more than I, (as a driver) can cope with. But to answer your question, its a bit like "chalk and cheese".
