I tried an adjustable Forge one years ago and never got on with it.... went back to a proper "closed" type (garrett?) from Turbo Dynamics and never used any adjustable one since.

The adjustable ones look a bit "Carlos Fandango" for me.

Someone asked earlier about running 20% methanol long term.
I ran in to fuelling issues on one particular car and when I removed the fuel pump it was very badly corroded on the outside and the pickup sack was thick with a dark coloured residue. Over a five year period using methanol off and on and probably quite long periods of stagnation with methanol in the tank I suspect the pump surfaces corroded.
On the same vehicle I had further problems which resulted in changing the fuel tank.
I suspect that running methanol all the time will lead to problems long term but the problems will manifest themselves after long periods of stagnation when the tank goes from full to empty and can then rust internally. I will see if I can find a photograph of the fuel pump in question.

I've been using 20% meth for a couple of years now, usually a tank a week, haven't come across any issues yet...

I miss the single scroll sound, which as someone who does a little hillclimbing with it as well, is a bit sad!

All fitted at API yesterday - and working fine, with the red 17.5-20psi spring fitted.

Oh and your Twister and HDi were safely stored away....... in the 'gangway' to the kitchen door.

Also, would that be your 'beloved' :S WRC rep. wing stored on their shelf (it was the same colour, so assumed it to be...?)

Not bad when you consider that a 2.1 stroker is just 5% more cc.

Cheers. In the middle of a similar build so good to see the result of similar build
Anything done to the heads?

Also interesting to see the rust on the pump after methanol use. I am changing out the hard lines to braided hose to avoid corrosion there, will have to try and keep an eye on the tank & pump. Car will not really see much road use so may well end up sitting with some V-power and methanol mix sitting in it.

Thanks

No Simon. The car was run with methanol, 5 to 20%, but when methanol was not in use and the car was filled with V-Power and it would get 2mls per litre NF. I was fairly scrupulous regards running on one or the other so when running NF and methanol it would only be the residual fuel in the tank that had any NF.

Meth and nf dont mix well. If the car sits with fuel in tank at all the nf forms weird lumps in tank when mixed with meth. I guess the residue built up?

Looks the right colour for that.

Thats mega kev, spool is near identical to my 2.1,
power and lbft are near the same at 4k and 4.5k.
Shows what difference that bigger housing has made.
