Hi,

lots going on here that I wasnt aware of, been busy doing stuff, all subaru related of course.

Big thanks to Simon and Martyn for getting great figures from our range of Billet turbos.

The TD04 Billet known as the SC32 is in short supply at the moment but stocks are heading this way as I type.

There are a few new turbos to the range due to be tested on my car soon, I will keep everyone updated.

cheers
Kev

Very agreeable figures there for a little 30, you might however want to have a quick chat with the mapper. Leaner on Vpower only, than it is on the meth mix and at 12.5-1 AFR at 1.9 bar
I'm sure a 5 minute tweak will sort that, but I personally wouldn't leave it there.

Kev,

Do you have any 450+ twin scrolls in the offering?

I'm sick to death of trying to find out why my LM450 isn't delivering the goods.
myself and a few others are convinced its the turbo but Turbo Dynamics are saying otherwise.

So I need to rule out the turbo but there's not much out there without having to swap manifolds and up pipes etc.

Cheers

Daz

The answer to both Daz and Kenc's questions are above.
SC46 or SC50 Billet Twin Scroll for you Daz and the 30+ has a larger turbine wheel and Comp cover Ken.
Not had the opportunity to try any of the twin scroll offerings for ourselves yet, but if they're as good as their single scroll counterparts, they'll be awesome.

Hi,

we have a SC50 Twin scroll billet on the shelf, we used it to test the spec, it went over 500BHP but as it was on a 2.0 litre non avics engine I was a little disappointed in the spool, you can try it if you want.

cheers

Ok so is the new gt30+ still using the same exhaust wheel and .63 housing??

And next question, if you took off your normal gt30 and replace with this, after map what would be the differences? More power, later spool???

Hi,

a little confusion has managed to creep in.

The sizes in brackets after the turbos name i.e. SC42 Billet (68mm) does not refer to the inlet size it refers to the Billet compressor wheel diameter only.

All the SC Billet turbos are 56mm inlet except the SC50 Billet which is 76mm.

Sorry for the confusion.

cheers

Hi,

people who want over 500 BHP seem to all go for a rotated gt30 billet so we dropped the SC54 Billet as a stock item, its still available to order if any one wants one, and to say it didn’t sell in quantity I have one on mine and its stunning,

However the all new SC50 billet is being tested back to back against the SC54 billet on my car, expected results are better spool and similar power, watch this space.

cheers

Hi,

update.

Testing on the all new SC50 Billet has been done, the turbo spools quicker than the SC54 and is only a few BhP behind it at the top.

I will sort out the relavant graphs for you as soon as I can, tomorrow when the roads are dry we will do a live spool test and data log it but fron a driving point of view its a lot more responsive, dont get me wrong it was good before but the good just got better.

Cheers

The evolution of turbo technology is akin to that of washing powders.

@joz....

I dont want to say too much before kev up`s the graph but i personally watched the new SC50 in action on kev`s car on saturday, and the spool and torque figure at 4500rpm for a direct fit turbo was absolutely mind boggling.

Thanks
