With the 740s fitted, I'd be tempted to get the SC46 Billet. Mapped on V-Power, it should make around 420-450bhp on a 2.0, I would have thought. Just the right amount of power for the New Age STi internals to take (so long as you don't track it a lot...)

My mate had the SC40 on his P1 and made 393bhp and 370ftlbs on vpower with supporting mods, would have def made over 400 if it wasnt for a missfiring plug, great turbo that spools like the wind.
Hi,
the SC40 Billet is also known as a 20 G billet and is a stunning turbo at a realistic price, £950.00 gets you one of these sleeve bearing units.
If you want a roller bearing core then it would be the SC42 Billet or the SC46 Billet, at £1250.00 and £1295.00 all in stock.

All prices + vat.
cheers

The SC40 is sleeve bearing, the 46 roller. So even though a bigger turbo, the 46's roller bearings go some way to helping it spool similar to the SC40.
I'm sure the 40 is quicker spooling, but by how much? Depends if you want to chase bhp over super-spool. Perhaps the SC42 is the perfect halfway house? It too has a RB core and surely can't be far off the 40's spooling rate...?

still waiting to do one but results from the states so far show it as a winner, spool should be even better on our version as we use a smaller exhaust housing.

If so, there's your answer.

Mind, allowing for a (very minimal 17%) tranny loss, that would mean it would be making at least 455 at the fly!!! Can't be right?
Unless tranny loss is much less than 17%, anyway?

Hi,
the 42 will spool a little quicker and in some cases on a 2.0 ltr engine the SC46 can choke up at the top, adding more boost causes power to fall off, I stress "in only a few cases", hence the re-introduction of the SC42, and the fact that some people prefer the BB core to the sleeve bearing version.
As shown in an earlier post the SC42 did indeed out spool the MD321 H, made the same power and completely removed the customers problem of compressor surge, not a fair test for the turbo as the engine was maxed out and could not breath any more, therefore top end figures from either turbo were not conclusive.

Hope the above helps

why could the engine not breath any more in what sence do you mean i.e heads or are we talking fmic or headers upipe them type of mods as my engine is a forged bottom end with standard version 4 heads but i do have full supportting mods
i may just have to drive my version 4 all the way to you guys and you can put on the 42 and see what happens and if i dont see 400- 410
then were chuck the 46 on
