Cheers would be nice to see some supporting evidence tho. I have been trying to get one from you for the last 2 weeks but your waiting for an order from the states. Then today (Tuesday) you only had 3 of 4 boxes delivered so I will call again tomorrow in the hope that the missing 4th box contains one of these. What Im particularly interested in is the typical spool up point on a 2 litre and is it going to be better than a TD05 20g?? 
iv got a sc40 on my type r standard box and engine. Iv got your normal mods plus a eclipse intake pipe and gt spec 2 headers with harvey up pipe. I hit full boost around 3750 i made 380 ,360 ft lb only as we capped it there due to wanted gear box clutch ect in 1 piece lol. I love the turbo pulls great on a 2 litre i say hope this helps a bit
SC 50 : We were going to fit the SC50 to H13 but as that is currently without an ECU for longer than intended and my forced absence has delayed the actual testing, that turbo is now on P93 (Sti 3 Wagon) and mapping and testing will take place very soon.
Items required to go to twin scroll were sump and pickup, oil tube and dipstick, headers and uppipe and downpipe.
I have not yet come across an uppipe in the aftermarket that is any better than the original Subaru item and I am only using RCMS tubular twin scroll headers because I could not locate OE Subaru secondhand.
I do think that heat wrapping headers and uppipe are even more important on the twin scroll.

Blob STi internals seem to be good for nominally >450bhp, for fast road usage. So at c.400/400 you'd be unlucky if a rod bust, etc.
Is a 53 UK Blob STi a 2.0L single scroll?
If so, an SC40 Billet turbo and 650cc or 740cc topfeed injectors - or indeed, Lateral's OEM ph.2 440cc modified to flow 910cc - plus EcuTek remap.
You might not make 400, but should get into the 380-400 bracket with ease. But the SC40 Billet is pretty much the quickest spooling 20g-based single scroll turbo out there, so will benefit from great spool-up - which is well worth having, rather than a potential 10-20bhp loss from your 'goal'.
If money's not so tight, then I'd also add to that a Alcatek ECU/remap (in place of the OEM ECU/EcuTek), and a set of Harvey's DEI-wrapped 2-bolt GT1 Spec headers and latest design "trick" uppipe. Or indeed his latest 3-bolt GT2 Spec 'RCM-copies' headers/uppipe. But he hasn't had chance to test these ones yet.

I believe it is a twin scroll on there at the min, I have read a lot about the sc42&46 and both seem to be not to far apart from each other, what is the max I could squeeze from a 42 if I was to decide to further the hunger for boost! I have built a lot of engines for my previous vauxhalls and can see me quickly taking the Plunge with my new toy
its certainly a lot of fun to drive ( much to the wife's dispair lol but nothing a bit of shopping won't sort when I get some spare change again
)

Tuning the STI 2.0 ltr Subaru
The 01 to 06 2.0ltr STI vehicles tune easily up to 330bhp on decent fuel such as Shell “V” power. Based on our performance pack 1, exhaust, fuel pump, cold air induction kit and a re-map they will usually achieve this figure, however the next steps start to get expensive, bhp per buck becomes less and less value for money, end result, however, is stunning .
The next step towards the 400 bhp goal is a replacement turbocharger, add something like our SC42 roller bearing, direct fit billet turbo, an up rated inlet pipe and fuel regulator you will see around 375 BHP, this tops out the inter-cooler, the next upgrade would be a FMIC, this allows us to push a little harder and we see around 385bhp, as you can see the gains per mod are getting smaller as the cost spiral ever upwards.
At this point a decision is needed regarding the engine management, standard management cannot see safely over 1.55 bar of boost and to achieve our magic 420 +bhp we need to run higher boost pressures and better boost control,.
The standard management is air flow meter based and not really suitable for big power applications, we recommend a Syvecs speed density ecu, this unit does not run an air flow meter and comes with free anti lag and launch control as standard. If we now take a step backwards to the original power pack we see that an ecu re-map costs £550.00, if we add the Syvecs at this point we save money in the long run, syvecs ecu’s cost just £1695.00, fitted and mapped, less the £550.00, it actually future proofs your car ready for the big power upgrades discussed here.
With the addition of the new ecu and a set of fuel injectors your car will see around 420bhp. A long and fairly expensive road but the end result is stunning, the package has been described by another well known, award winning tuner as “insane”

Is the standard ecu fairly workable these days? Management is definitely on the cards at some point it's just gonna take some saving (bloody house and it's bills!)

SC40 or SC42 will be good choice for you,about the TS yes agreed only JDM has been fitted as OEM
Your ECU is capable in both ways,at this level you don't need aftermarket ECU.
About the FMIC,if its properly mapped FMIC you will not see any difference in spool characteristics

Just that it's 'harder'/takes more time/patience for the mapper to get to a decent result (due to the way the map has to be uploaded to the OEM ECU).
Aftermarket ones give the mapper more 'freedom' as changes are made on-the-fly - so he can concentrate more on the actual map's changes (and invariably end up with a superior, more optimised map).

Where is there that does mapping, I have been told about powerstation that is local to me, what others are available travelling does not worry me too much within reason, or is there mapping guys out there who travel? I want to put it on the rollers and make sure everything is as it should be as I have no idea of what map or anything that is on the car I have a print out somewhere from years back so wouldn't be a bad idea to have a looksy

I am currently running an wrx sti type uk, my03 and have an SC42 fitted, Ecutek remap, larger injectors, Top mount intercooler, new headers with Miltek cat back so I still have the cat in the downpipe, produced 401.2 bhp when it was mapped at Scooby Clinic.
I would be happy with that!
What size injectors are you running? Are standard sti 550cc and pink?
Where are scooby clinic based are they Yorkshire way?
Is it best to buy equal length headers?
And will the car loose it's burble with equal length headers?

Went up to 850cc ready for the next leap, but 650cc will do the job.
The clinic is based at Chesterfield http://www.scoobyclinic.com/ they fitted the injectors for me, they will part-ex with your old ones.
I'm running un-equal length, that is the reason for the burble, go equal and you will lose the burble.

Thank you for that! Think I'll source some headers and injectors first from the budget, save a little more and get the blower then be taking it to be set up and mapped, if I start buying now and stick everything to one side until I got it all, be ready to rock!
I'll do some more reading across the forum threads to see wha I can learn, I think I got a good starting point from here tho thanks to you guys! Anything to be weary of when buying parts?? I know to stay away from the look at me items on flee bay that a chocolate kettle would surpass, any particular injectors you guys or the tuners recommend that kind of thing, there are so many out there I just preferre to seek advice from the people who have been there!

Mapping is certainly an art! I suppose choice of tuners is to each individual, I'm just gonna have do my research and listen to you guys as don't want to be melting pistons (as previous tuners have done to my vauxhalls!) so will be someone who comes recommended, I have heard of a good few acros the boards on here seems like I may be spoilt for choice lol!
If you do go shopping for headers, Avoid the ones with a flexi joint, Ideally you want 3 Bolt ones(RCM or GT Spec) or simaler

Simply because the twin scroll turbo has a twin uppipe and although the runners in the uppipe are not particularly big diameter there is a lot more surface area to radiate heat from the exhaust gas flow as it travels to the turbo. For good power you need good exhaust gas temperature and what you don't want is over cooled exhaust gas en-route to the turbo.
Also as more heat will be radiated under bonnet temperature and particularly those in proximity to the twin scroll uppipe will be that much more.
