Get ya car up to the clinic mick and let kev stick it on the rollers mate,i will come up aswell pal as i need to see kev about a clutch before my SC46 billet purchase, lee will be def there also mate and it would be great to see both classic and newage 2.0ltr cars with the SC46 fitted go on the dyno to compare graphs and figures, hes not had a meth map yet mick so it would be a vpower run matey.

Hi there,
Thinking about going for a few upgrades to the V3 Jap Spec Sti I've got at the moment...
Currently just running Prodrive Backbox, but I was thinking about:
Cold Air Induction Kit
Turbo Back Decat
Headers
Walbro Fuel Pump
Injectors (550?)
With that sort of spec which turbo would be the best one to go for? SC36? SC40?
Would upgrading the TMIC at the same time open options up a bit to go for bigger power? Or would it still be limited by the standard internals/gearbox?
Not looking for huge power for 1/4 miles... The overall aim is a fast road and trackday car, so some suspension and brake upgrades required too at some point!
Cheers,
Michael.

Hi,
I agree with Mick, the SC36 Billet would be the one to go for.
The SC40 would not be able to run to its full potential as we would have to hold it back due to the standard drive train (I assume) which would mean you would have a slower spooling turbo for no reason.
A reasonable halfway house would be the SC38 Billet, but again its a bit over the top for standard drive train.
Hope the above helps.

cheers
Kev
Hi,
as the SC42 shares the same Garratt roller bearing core as its bigger brother the SC46, its not much cheaper I am afraid.
Introductory price of £1250.00 for the SC42 Billet or £1295.00 gets you the SC46 Billet.
All prices + vat at 20%
cheers

bit of a typo there.

The SC42 has been developed for people who wanted a roller bearing core but thought the SC46 Billet would be overkill for their engine/set-up, which to be fair can be true in certain cases.

The SC42 Billet will do 420 BHP, possibly more and will spool slightly earlier than the SC46 Billet as its got a smaller wheel on the hot side.
hope the above helps
cheers

Kev, think that's meant to translate as: "Which turbo is required to achieve 500bhp/500lb ft on a 2.35L with STi AVCS heads/cams?" Although, could be wrong.
At first, I thought trails was enquring, "How much for an order of 500-off of SC42, and 500-off of SC46, turbos?"
LOL
