Boost and BHP.

The hydra seems to get a bit of a wibble on possibly due to knock control, the gap between the Syvecs ecu and the Hydra ecu is not as big as when the Hydra was on the lower octain setting but the Syvecs still wins hands down, look at the smooth curves.
Now to swap out the turbo.

Not at all.
It was / is a cracking car but I have moved on now and I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did.
Personally it would be great to see the car continuing to push the envelope and carrying on where I (and all my supporters) left off.
I'm sure you will understand, that I still have an emotional tie with this car...... regardless of who owns it.

Since I think common sense prevailed and we all deem the comparison as just that, a comparison rather than a proper back to back test, I now look forward to seeing what one of your turbo's produce on this set-up.

due to snow we have not been able to get any customers in or out for a week, now the snow has started to subside we have been inundated with jobs from last week turning up on top of jobs from this week so time has become an issue.

Soon as we get back on top of the work load we will get a Billet blower on there and see how it goes.
The test was always intended to be a comparison, the term back to back was taken out of context.

Never mind, onwards and upwards, as they say.

Got some new interesting turbo developments & testing to come, new Garratt Billets and something with a titanium exhaust wheel.


Now wheres me tin hat.

Just done an SC36 Billet on a 2.5 hawkeye, we couldnt get it less than 360BHP, spool is wild,. graphs to follow.

How are the standard fit SC turbo's fairing against the rotated billet's?
As in, I guess the SC54 should produce more power than the GT30R, which would make more power, and which would have the best spool?
Can you get enough air in for the turbo on the higher end standard fit turbo's?

Hi,
The SC Billet range of direct fit turbo's are out selling the rotated Billets at around 10 to 1, this is due to most people requiring a direct fit unit as opposed to the rotated and more expensive set up.
The rotated GT30, GT33 and GT35 Billets usually end up on track cars although there are a few very quick road cars with them on. The rotated pipe work, external waste gates and custom induction kits sart to add up, then theres the labour to fit it all, end result is very god, outperforming their direct fit brothers giving more power at less boost with amazing spool.

A case of "you pays your money you takes your choice", all these billet turbo's are outperforming their competitors, we are about to test the latest Garratt billet, from the compressor map it looks like it will make a lot of power but at the cost of spool, we will wait and see.

I will be chaning my 321T next year thats all, and will be going for a rotated setup.....but didn't know if the SC54 was as good as a GT30/33R billet for example. But I guess the rotated billets are the ones to go for if money isn't an issue.

I dont run with a dump valve on the SC54 Billet, I much prefer the waste gate chatter.

We can make yours a re-circ but you will still hear it dumping back into the induction cone.
Blank it off, it will be fine.

To help beat the VAT increase we can offer to keep the VAT at 17.5% if the order is placed before midnight Jan 4th 2011, you dont have to pay until you are ready to receive the goods.
On another note the Billet range are finding their way into many other traders and specialists, feedback is very good so much so that we have just despatched an SC46 Billet to the chairman of the Subaru club Finland, we await Miki's findings.

AYE, hopefully it will help with heatsoak and the TMIC, as it is almost impossible to pass a MOT in this *** backward country with a FMIC.
