scoobyclinics turbo's just got billet I mean better!
Sorry to digress, but what safety features get removed about 1.55bar? Just I'm running 1.6, peaking at 1.7 on an ECUtek with AVCR boost controller @ 430bhp.....would you say that is unwise really?
Thanks
Thanks
But why is it 'flying in the dark with no instruments'? I'm not arguing, just interested why really. First time I've heard that running about 1.55bar isn't too safe on the ECUtek.
Hi,
as I stated some mappers will run more than 1.55 bar on ecutek, we wont as the software cannot see over this figure, at 1.72 bar the fuel cut safety has to be disabled, therefore if a pipe splits or the wastegate sticks the turbo could produce 2.0 bar and no one would know until the engine fails.

As our duty to the customer we choose to keep all the safety programes in place.
cheers
Kev
I assume that EcuTEK's MegaROM and RaceROM gets around this problem then, as I hit 1.74bar the other night and boost cut was initiated no problems. I am using the Spec C ROM coding so can see "Internal Boost Pressure" on DeltaDash, which reads over 1.55bar!

The later car is equipped with a 3 bar map sensor from factory Shaun, the early car has only a 2.55 bar sensor.
I just need the extra push as I have the money waiting, if you don't wanna start the thread give me the okay and I can do. At least we will find out what interest there will be in the range of turbos and numbers and then Kev can confirm pricing with the little discount!
Hi,
the JDM twin scroll cars have something in the region of a 3 bar map sensor, they can see more than 1.55 bar of boost on the ecutek software.
cheers

Japorter how about getting a thread started in the group buy section as you was the first to mention it and Kev has said about starting a separate thread!

Hi,
It will soon be scoobyshoot out October the 3rd, we have gathered together 10 track cars all with billet turbo,s to join the fun.
These are cars we have built and maintained, and as a thanks for the work our team puts into these cars the drivers have offered to support us at the event, ones my own car fully laden with complete interior, stereo etc. lets see how it behaves against some dedicated track cars.
Should be interesting .
Hope to see some of you there
cheers

This graph kinda sums up how good the sc46 billet is:
08 Hatchback STI with 330s prodrive map vs. SC46 billet @ 1.5bar on Tesco 99

forged engine by enginetuner, cosworth FMIC, 800cc injectors, rcm headers, standard heads.
No extra lag at all on the road it really is phenomenal!!!

20% meth mix with V power.
Also note this is an SC36 Billet.
