How would they compare with ported and polished AVCS heads?

Hi,

probably worse with some of the so called porting we have seen on some heads

Time has arrived for the SC46 Billet testing

We now have two cars lined up for the test, one is an STI 8 with a built 2.0ltr booked in for dropping off tommorow, the other is a 2.5 with rods and pistons.

Will keep you updated.

cheers
Kev

Hi,

STI-Robbie personally mailed me as he seemed to have a problem with one of our SC36 Billet turbo's

We have booked the car in for a diag / power run, there may a few more up grades required to get the results Robbie is looking for.

We have now sold 5 of the SC36 Billet turbo's, all of them have performed as expected, we must remember that cars are all different, some make the power easily some dont, bolting on a new or even bigger turbo wont fix any underlying problems allready there,

Keep you posted,

Cheers

Recieved my SC46 yesterday, worked to around 9 in the evening to get it in the car, only had some minor issues but nothing that couldn't get fixed in the driveway

Now I just have to wait for my tuner to map it.

A big thanks to Kev for his help and quick response.

Hi,

the SC40 billet was developed for 400 BHP, earlier in this thread it was tested giving 373 BHP on a 2.0ltr STI 8, not good enough in our opinion.

Back to the drawing board, we have changed the compressor wheel and are due to test the new SC40 billet early next week.

Ironicly the original SC 40 Billet did quite well to be fair, with gains of 90 bhp and 60 ftlbs over standard, (after mapping)

Another point is the test car was fitted with a PPP and should have been around 300 BHP, it wasnt, showing just 283 BHP, the old saying "dont throw the baby out with the bath water" springs to mind, we will continue testing.

Cheers
Kev

Hi,

we have helped many customers in the past finance their mods, unfortunately the minority always ruin it.

Would love to offer this service again and I will give it some thought.

Hi,

The SC36 billet will give you as much as your intercooler will take (approx) after that its time for a FMIC and on it goes with ecu swaps, bigger injectors etc.etc.

The SC40 Billet will give 400 bhp, or at least our latest version of the SC40 Billet will, (hopefully) trouble is you will need a load of supporting mods to get the magic figure as mentioned above.

We also recomend a free flowing inlet pipe upgrade at £165.00,

Prices.........

SC36 Billet............£750.00

Sc40 Billet.............£895.00

all prices + vat

cheers

Thanks Kev

Might be worth speaking to your Bank. We use Barclays finance to do our IFC. Retra got us a good deal. Let them take the risk not yourselves.

We pay a small percentage to the Finance company for the privilige of doing the interest free, but we get our money from them within a week. Hence they take on the risk not yourselves.

Don't know of any other tuning companies doing it Kev so could be a great idea!!! (Which for being the person to suggest it i'd happily take a SC460 as payment)
