Thanks, but run 19 is FAR better than run 10, and since you have said there was no more mapping, the old fuel must have been well past it's sell by date, or run 19 ended up running more boost to gain the power
I'm sorry, but however good the GT30 billet is, (and it clearly is) the last GT30 billet/GT35 "comparisons" are flawed by both fuel, and pipework.

You have to commend Scooby Clinic for A: Doing the testing and B: more importantly being so totally open and transparent about it.
Well done guys it's good to see this as a potential customer for one of these turbo's maybe even two of them
I do however have to agree that the GT35R needs to be re tested on the new RCMS pipe work and compared with the exact same fuel that the best run on the billet 30R was done on the RCMS pipework.
Then you'll have an accurate and fair comparison.
But as I said, fantastic commendable effort from SC well done all.

The GT35R wont fit the RCMS pipe work, its not the pipe work at fault its the exhaust housing on the 35R, we can make it fit but it would be a days work and then it would all have to be put back for the re-fit of the 30 Billet, we simply dont have the time for this and remember this is a customers car who is out racing soon.
Bottom line is we have addressed his original brief, better spool and more power all we need to do is the final map
The GT30 Billet is a winner you only have to look at the evo result to prove it, not only gave more power than a GT35 but spool was 800 to 1000 RPM better, if we get a car in with a 35R on it, customer willing, we will run the test again.

Look, it's not easy for one supplier to go onto another suppliers thread, and question the information, and I gave it some thought before doing it, because I knew it would upset some people, and I would attract some criticism for doing it !
In no way am I questioning the the SC turbo, or the results, JUST the way they are presented. I don't even think they are being presented this way to mislead anyone, but the bottom line is, they are misleading, however unintentional.
Regardless of all the testing, I have no idea how the GT30 billet directly compares to a GT35R, and dare I say, Kev has just thrown something else into the mix, which to me makes the comparison tests meaningless.....................
To qualify, the GT30, and GT35 use the identical exhaust housing, apart from a different profile to suit the different exhaust wheels, but Kev has just said that "this" particular GT35R won't fit the same pipework.
This means that this particular GT35R is not a "standard" GT35R, but some hybrid version with a different non GT series exhaust housing !

Ideally, the test needs to be done on a bigger engine, or at the very least a built 2.0lt, so that the GT35R can be "driven" properly. A 2.0lt will struggle to flow enough exhaust gas, especially if it's not being pushed.

Hi,
from the very start of the tests on this car it was clear it was not ideal, one look at the original graph shows lousy spool and power, a GT35 R on a 2.0ltr stock engine was never going to be great. I agree it needed to be done on something bigger like a built 2.0 ltr or a 2.33 ltr engine, but as this car was here for a turbo upgrade, customer requiring better spool and more power, it was time to try the 30 billet and see what it does on this less than ideal set up.
The test between the 35 R and our billet GT30 turbo was posted up using the best runs achieved on both turbo's, run 06 for the 35R and run 010 for the 30 billet, it clearly shows the 30 billet giving better spool and more power, job done, test over.
For your information the GT35 we removed has a .63 exhaust housing with a strange flange on it.
We decided there was more to come, nothing to do with the test, purely wanting to give our customer the best we can, the dodgy pipe work was swapped out and the 30 billet run again, a worthwhile improvement was shown, graph posted up purely for interest.
We have not finished yet, the up pipe used from RCMS kit is not ideal for this set up, by that statement I mean a 2.0ltr stock engine with a rotated set up, spot on if it was a built 2.0ltr, 2.1 or 2,33 aiming for 600 bhp.
As we are trying to achieve the best result for our customer we have to persevere with what we have at our disposal, we feel the up pipe could be improved and that is exactly what we are going to do next, here comes a velocity stack
All our tests are done openly and honestly, if you feel it is misleading then that is purely your opinion, I can assure you if they are in any way misleading it is not intentional.
Now back on topic
This coming week there is a new Billet turbo for testing, our SC 36 was OK but not as good as expected so we have an SC 36 BILLET to test, this is aimed at the fast road circa 360 bhp market, spool is expected to be as good as a VF34 with power around 360 bhp, it goes without saying it will be a true direct fit
Price will make you weep
The 36 BILLET will be just £750.00 + VAT

You mentioned that the GT35 .64exh had a strange flange but at the same time managed to bolt on a Billet GT30 on the same up pipe so from what i gather they have the same flange.
But a picture will no doubt clarify things nicely

Hmm an SC36 billet, mines booked in on sat for amongst other things, a nice new tubby, was still thinking a blouch 18 or 20g, but will have to see how this billet version compares

Hi,
When we started this particular car, we simply power ran it for a base to work from.
The original GT35 was removed and the poor, many times repaired pipework was exposed, so was the strange flange, we decided to swap out the last bit of pipe work going up to the flange, its the shiny bit on the photo below. this allowed the fitment of our GT 30 Billet,
Note its the down pipe flange only
This done we carried on with the test, rest is history

To keep everyone up to date here is the latest test result using our new SC46 BILLET TWIN SCROLL, Mapped.
This is a standard spec C engine, standard STI intercooler, standard headers and up pipe, only mods are induction kit, inlet pipe, full stainless exhaust, fuel pump, flow matched injectors and of course the newly re-named Syvecs ECU. All retro fitted into a classic GC8 scoob running on E 85.
This shows what can be done on a budget, turbo price £1295.00 + VAT exchange, in stock from next Friday.

We always play on the low side, all our BILLET turbo's are capable of more depending on engine spec
