It has every conceivable supporting mod and is just one of those cars that takes loads of timing and never complains so is easy for the mapper to get the max from the turbo,if you want my opinion i would opt for the SC46 as this will give you more chance of hitting the 500 mark you mention if this is what your aiming for.

Any news/results on a 2.0ltr car fitted with the new SC38 bb yet kev,i was chatting to a guy last week who was wanting around 400 horses with fast spool from his blob sti and he mentioned the SC40,i told him about the new SC38 and and he was very interested in a comparison between the two before he made his choice.

Mapped a non BB SC38 on a 2.1 Newage WRX today. Awesome spool and it walked 380bhp on VPower @ 1.45 bar. We're going to do a meth map soon, but as the engine only had 900 miles on it, we left it there for a second.
ok so was a toss up between the rotated gt35 on v power or rotated billett 30 on 20% meth ive ended up buyin the rotated gt30 with ported and polished shroud on .82 housing see what happens lol

Right turbo choice but unsure about the .82 housing over the .63 version, let us know how she goes on mate and post the graphs up when you have em.
Hi,
Andy Forrests car just made 1010.5 BHP and 860lbft of torque on a pair of our Billet GT30's.
Andy states "still plenty to come from the turbos, they were still increasing at 30bhp per 0.1bar boost when I drew the line!!"
Cannot wait to see the car perform, with that kind of power Andy will need a G suit.
cheers

Had a cracking result from the baby of the bunch today.
The car was a stock engined 2002 2 litre WRX fitted with STi pink injectors, a fuel pump, a stock WRX intercooler, a 3 inch exhaust and RCM headers.
The brief was to take the next step forward from the TD04 turbo it was fitted with, so the SC36 seemed the logical choice. Boy were we right.

All on straight VPower of course !

The car still retains it's over boost protection at a perfectly sensible level and it does behave slightly better on the road. Boost as you are more than aware can be quite different in it's nature on the road, than how it appears on the dyno.
As it is, the customer is very happy and he's the one we're here to please

And another thing..
This is a customer's car and we can't always do what we like, as in somebody has to pay for it.
The turbo was fitted at lunchtime, and he drove off on his 100 mile trip home at 5pm, very happy indeed.
On the plus side, it's gratifying to know that if you need to know anything that's bleeding obvious, all you have to do is ask Andy.

Yes it does!
In the event of a bad dose of fuel, in addition to retarding timing and adjusting fueling the ECU will reduce the boost level. This prevents the resulting high EGT's (from ignition retard) causing damage......but it can't do that now as its not in control. Thats the point I was making.
Maybe that wasn't so obvious after all Alan !
Anyway, regardless of that, it's another wee cracker added to the range.

Quite right Andy and if the car was fitted with a .5 bar actuator it makes all the difference in the world. But as it isn't and the lowest boost it'll run is about 1.2 bar, you'd not get it any lower than that regardless of method of control.
Back on track though, SC range still doing the numbers !

Hi,
nice result, well done fellas.

cheers

Hi,
as the SC36 billets are now doing 370 + BHP, its maybe time to look at a smaller turbo to get around the 300 BHP mark.
The idea came from a conversation with Martyn at engine tuner who pointed out the minimum he could get from the latest SC36 Billet was 350 BHP at actuator pressure.
Although this is a great result Martyn suggested that its left a gap for a 300 BHP turbo as not every one wants big power and all the extras like clutch, brakes etc.etc. that go with it, so we came up with a TD04 Billet and it gets better, we can offer them on an exchange basis so prices will be very competitive.
A couple have been produced, Martin will be testing one and will test the
other, being a small turbo we expect great spool and at least 300 BHP possibly more but we don't want to much more.
Keep you posted.
cheers

Blimey! If the SC36 Billet is anything to go by, then a TD04 Billet will rip through the revs like Andy.F's 3.3 flat-6 TT!!!
