Nice result with that VF Billet Kev !
I for the first time today got the opportunity to run mine on the road as I took the car for a MOT and I had a few photos taken by a mate with a proper camera + he knows what he's doing
Anyway tested spool on the road and in 5th and 6th the Billet 35R is hitting 1 bar by 4100 rpm, now this is a massive improvement on the old 35R, that one took until 4500 to hit 1 bar. Very impressed yet again by this turbo.
Anyway the Billet car as I said had it's pics taken today, here's a couple of nice shots -
I will post more up on my own thread in projects, don't want to fill too much of Kevs thread up.

Sorry to be ever so slightly off topic, but I have just fitted an SC46 (non billet version) based on a recommendation from Kevin, with mapping by Duncan Dynamix.
The car is a MY05 STi, and supporting mods are 650 PE injectors, tube headers, 3" decat, CAIK, a Hyperflow TMIC, and 20% E85, running stock internals.
Although the turbo is not the billet version, I have to say I am very impressed with the turbo performance. The boost setting is currently 1.7 Bar max and power delivery is very smooth with spooling from very low in the rev range, 1 Bar reached at 3k rpm.
My previous setup was an 18g with 550 pink injectors and the other mods as noted, so this represents quite a big step up in terms of outright power and it's quite a surprise when the turbo delivers its maximum punch.
No power figures as it's not been on a dyno yet, but estimates based on air and fuel consumption look to be around 420bhp. Suffice to say the car is very lively on full chat
This is the first time I have had dealings with Kevin and the team at Scooby Clinic, and Duncan for that matter.
They are great people to deal with and can recommend any of them to those who have not yet had the chance to speak to them.
Big thanks to Kevin and Duncan for transforming my scooby.
Based on my experience with my SC46 I can only think the billet turbos are going to be truly awesome bits of kit.

94% IDC on the 650cc injectors for the record - the dyno will tell the figures but in the real world it properly flies

Shaun, you bloody hypocrite. This isn't at all like you banging on about Tracktive is it, oh no not one bit
Having been in Clive's car I can comment on how awesome it is. I will certainly be buying a billet 35R for mine at some point and for Skullfudge's P2 aswell.

As said, stock internals, 2.0l.
But a 2.1 would be nice
I wish I'd gone for 740's now, but you have to stop somewhere.... don't you?
It will be very interesting to see a dyno read out Duncan.
As you say, it flies. I really have to keep an eye on the speedo
Even on low boost that turbo really packs some power.

Hi Guys,
still not found the correct test mule yet, problem is many people have forged engines but not got the uprated gearbox's, we dont want to sweep up a load of cogs after testing
Will keep you updated.

now theres an Idea
We do have our own gearkits under going testing at the moment, one is currently sat in our pink stickered car, we managed to wreck the PPG kit chasing Clive (mad hammer) in his Billet powered monster at the 30 to 130 weekend .
We do have another though
cheers

are they whole complete boxes or gear kits etc?
Will they be available in 5 or 6 speed?
any prices yet?
Are they helical or straight cut?
would be good to have an alternative to PPG for those of us who dont want the extra weight of a 6 speed

Hi,
we feel they will be stronger than the PPG but as yet we are still testing them.
At the moment they are 5 speed only and are helical kits.
Price wise, watch this space.

Hi,
plan is to take pink car to the pod next weekend, for those unfamiliar with the "pink car" its the one bellow
The PPG kit stripped 2nd gear at the 30 to 130 weekend two weeks ago, this happened on a rolling start, at the pod its a launch and go so more pressure for our new gear kit
Will it survive the test ??
Lets hope so
cheers

Make sure you register the car for a 'CC' number - RWYB - Street Challenge - Introduction

if your gear-sets are strong enough to survive Mikee launching with that amount of torque and they are reasonably priced you will be in a position to offer a real alternative to six speeds...will be watching with interest
