Hi i read the first 30 odd pages but got bored. Can someone point me in the direction of sc40 graphs/info. Most of what i read was about the bigger turbos. any testing info too. Thanks in advance
Hi,
struggling to find any graphs but its a sleeve bearing billet wheeled 20 G, 400 BHP capable but as it sports the more aerodynamic Billet compressor wheel we have seen over 400 BHP with the correct supporting mods.
£950.00 + vat gets you one of these complete with water pipes, oil drain and gaskets.
Cheers would be nice to see some supporting evidence tho. I have been trying to get one from you for the last 2 weeks but your waiting for an order from the states. Then today (Tuesday) you only had 3 of 4 boxes delivered so I will call again tomorrow in the hope that the missing 4th box contains one of these. What Im particularly interested in is the typical spool up point on a 2 litre and is it going to be better than a TD05 20g??

Hi,
the box with the SC40 billet turbos has gone missing, last seen at the airport clearing customs, 3 of the 4 large boxes turned up but the 4th is missing in action, to cover us I have ordered another box of them which are being made at the moment, just in case the missing ones don't turn up, ever.
Spool,. due to the lighter billet wheel, will be far better than a standard 20G.
2.35 with tweaked avcs heads being built by the gents down at engine tuner.
it will be good to see what the 2.1 will do up to the 2.3,my spec is 2.1 cosworth with v3 ported heads with cosworth cams. i have not seen any dynos for the gt 30 yet

theres a few on this thread, 550-600 depending on spec and meth additive.
Hi Kev
Have you tried sc38 on a 2 litre not twin scroll.
As spool on 2.5 2.1 and 2.3 using this turbo are immense .
If yes can you post up a graph.
Thanks
Mick

Hi,
10 of them sat buzzing on the shelf, can get one of those out today if you want one.
Turbo blankets will be here early next week they have proved very popular at £89.95 + vat, first batch sold out already, another 10 on their way from Perrin.
Cheers
KEV

Hi I have brought an sc46 off ur selves for my build and was goin to do dv delete but I don't want to wreck the turbo would I be beta buying a forge recirt valve will defo be running 1.5 bar at least hopefully ! Thanks
Subject to engine internals and capacity we have run several SC46 at 1.6-1.85 bar quite satisfactorily.
If you are retaining the MAF you would be best to run the recirc BOV. If you have an Alcatec/Simtec/Syvecs with the MAF deleted you would be best to run a vent to atmosphere BOV.
I don't think you will wreck an SC46 running without a BOV but you will reduce its service life and I am not sure there is a tantible advantage....... other than the noise on gear change or throttle lift off, if you like that sort of thing.

I have Simtek, and moved from a good quality API-supplied VTA to the Forge recirc (the MY97/98 pattern version). I didn't want the noise of the VTA.
I take it this should still be even better than a VTA on a speed density ECU (even though not quite as 'important' as if it was intake air-measured MAF-based)?
