Kev,

Hey just wondering if you guys thought about offering a Twin Scroll using the 47 lb/min Compressor Wheel from the Blouch 20G-XT-R? Perhaps you do and it's an SC42 TS?

If I am correct the SC46 TS = 49 lb/min Compressor with 56.5mm Exhaust Turbine and the SC42 is what exactly?

As much as I have read through this thread and searched. I am just not seeing the exact trims for the SC42 TS.

Hi,

we don't like to post up exact trims and specs as we have spent a lot of time and money developing this range of turbos.

Cheers

I completely understand, but I was afraid of that answer haha.

However you did point out a few pages back that the SC46 = 46 lb/min compressor Turbo. https://www.scoobynet.com/showpost.p...postcount=3117

Would you say that information posted is 100% accurate?

Kev has already stated that the spec of the SC range of turbos has and may continue to change as part of the development process. By standing still you quickly go backwards in this industry!

Hi,

very true, there is always someone hot on our tail trying desperately to catch us up.

Wait until 2012, we have re vamped the range yet again, some will stay as is, others have changed turbine sizes and gained new comp wheel clips.

The twin scrolls will be available with the new cast housings, no exchange housing needed any more.

Its all good fun.

cheers
Kev

Hey folks looking to be going down the 2.1 route in the next few months

I know the gt30 is rated to 550 and with meth prob more

My question is how much torque would I be getting from this setup as I seen gus gt35 produce 440 lbft on v power

Is there any chance of getting more torque with a smaller turbo like a gt30 billet

Cheers

Torque depends on far more than just the turbo.
Gus's car had very wild cams and the GT35 was in fact a 35/42 hybrid with T04Z comp cover and wheel.
I would suspect that you should see over 520lbft fairly easily with a good setup and 2 bar boost.
We have seen this out of stock non Billet 35R .63 from a 2.1 so a GT30 Billet should be similar.

Hi Kev,

What would be the best option to put in place of a vf36 on a 2.0L. Currently running one in my 04 legacy and looking to upgrade in the near future, to a bigger twinscroll. aiming for about 400 bhp

We haven't ran any standard heads higher although with Race Fuel or E85 600 is posible.
If you are wanting 600+ on pump fuel you'll need the heads doing and some decent cams.

Depends on how brave you are with the boost, the Billet turbos do seem to go on producing more power with more boost.

It's a bit big for that target and even more so if you don't have AVCS, it made 627bhp on VPower and 650bhp on a splash of meth.
I don't think you'll go far wrong with a Billet 30 with a .63 housing.

Hi,

the twin scroll SC42 Billet would be the best option in both cases, the new version with cast exhaust housing is under going testing at the moment and seems very good so far, and there is no need for the exchange exhaust housing scenario.

cheers

Hi,

the VF37 is a sleeve bearing core which wont spool as quickly as the VF36 with its roller bearing core, SC42 should spool as well as the sleeve bearing VF 37 yet give power of 400 + BHP.

Price wise the new SC42 Billet twin scroll as an outright buy, no exchange housing will be around £1495.00 + vat.

cheers

Kev,

Its rebuild time. I'm thinking going 2.1 CDB, Syvecs, tubular headers, etc. Newage. Target is 450bhp+. Best fit looks to be an SC46 billet? You mentioned the range is changing. Do you have anything bigger that will still spool well. V-power only.

Thanks

Hi,

one of the turbos that will NOT change spec is our best seller the SC46 Billet.

Another one that will stay is the SC36 Billet.

I recommend the SC46 for your set up, any bigger and you will introduce more lag.

cheers

Mapped another SC42 2.1 combo on Saturday, made 423bhp and 380lbft on VPower @ 1.6 bar.
It ran out of fuel to do a meth map too so it will be having a swirl pot and Bosch pump installed for more flow next !
