Not that Ive seen. Tesco Direct were doing 20% off a while back which made it about £35 but I left my pre-order with Shopto.net ( £42)as they tend to always deliver on or before release date.

Another + point is no more watching other players play when your dead CTF= instant respawn!

 

If i got the pc version, could i play it online for free?

Also do online payers only play against people on the same console? e.g. do people playing it on the Xbox only play other people who play it on the Xbox?

 

yup, Just how a FPS game should be played IMO

 

Its free online whether you play via PC, 360 or PS3. Ok for 360 you have to pay for Xbox live but nothing additional just to play MW2 online.

And yes unfortunately you only play PC vs PC, PS3 vs PS3. I look forward to the day when/if they combine and we can all play each other. Although Ill probably then have to buy a new PC as will get sick of being owned on my PS3

i think CoD4 is the best game to date but i dont think i will be getting Modern warfare2 tho, ive found a much better game and its released next month- Operation Flashpoint 2. There is videos of it on youtube and i have to say that it looks much better than cod!!!

 

Hope they get rid of Martyrdom,its a cheap way of getting kills.

 

i too will be getting this ,it looks awesome infact the next 2 months are going to cost a fortune with the likes of forza 3 and mw2 and pro 10 .

If its anything like the original then other than both being based on Modern Combat they will be very different games. OF was all about tactics and strategywhereas CoD is just out and out fighting.

I too hope they reward you for taking out the choppers. Was soo annoying as if everyone on your team uses a a clip on it youd take it out in no time at all.

Martyrdom was funny. Rule #1 never stop running once you kill someone. Ok every now and then you will walk into the aftermath of somelses kill but if youve all got the option to use it then no biggy. I loved fast reload and extra ammo as the default amount is pitiful.

Looks good, but then so did ARMA2 until I played it. The buggiest pile of do-do I've played for many a year.

Anyone wanna organise a launch night session, me mand my mate will have our own server, it will be admin'd by us two and we will ban noobtubes, juggernaught, and martyrdom, apart from that anything goes!

We will have a mixed server with all game types and maps, except for any nubcake maps like shipment or killhouse types!

I might be the only person here who buys games to play as a single player? Games seem to be getting shorter and shorter: hopefully this will buck the trend (CoD4 wasnt long, but the 007 game made by Treyarch is half the length!).

 

Can't wait for this. I do enjoy the single player part of it, but always end up playing online with mates most of the time.

 

I think 'Martyrdom' is back & a new one, 'Death Streaks' WTF!!!!

If you amount 3 deaths in a row you can choose 'Copy Cat' which allows you to steal the class of the last person that killed you. You can use his class for one life until you die. Or you have 'Painkiller' which gives you a health boost so you can leg it out of the hot zone & go hide in the corner.

Personally, silenced sniper rifles & 'Bling' (two attachments on a weapon) is what I'm looking forward to. Silenced shotguns though.... Na, bit stupid.
