Who's looking forward to 'Modern Warfare 2'
Personally I'm buzzing for this game to come out in November as CoD4 is one of my all-time favourite games ever. I know they've jacked the price up but it's worth it in my opinion.

I will buy it and play it, but i am not that excited for it arriving to be honest.
I suspect it is just going to be a bit to much "more of the same" and while Cod4 is a good game, it is a bit to "arcadey" for its own good IMO
The whole "run and gun" thing just seams to **** me off a bit after a while.

You cant, which is why the console versions usually have some sort of aim assist programmed in to shooters.
I have totally went against the grain, and have been playing Crysis with an xbox 360 controller plugged in, and most "PC Users" seam to think this is a terrible thing

How many FPS gamers of a competitive level on PC use a gamepad over a keyboard/mouse combo? Id suggest none.
Im not sure what you mean about not being fast paced? Compared to classic fps games like CS Id say CoD4 is manic in terms of respawning and how quickly you can take someone (or multiple persons). I always wanted to see what would happen when you put online players from 360/PS3 on the same servers as PC players. For players of equal skill level Id put money on PC players ruling. And thats coming from someone who now plays almost exclusively on PS3 as I cant be bothered spending money on new rigs every 12-18 mths.

one downside to a pc is you cant sit on the sofa and play without having a mouse mat and keyboard on your lap.
cant beat a wireless controller for that kind of easy gaming with a few beers etc

Yep, can't wait.
Personally I make a point of completing the one player story before going online.
Did it with CoD 4 and World at War. Only normally takes 2 or 3 days

I've sat on the sofa playing PC games before. Either use a keyboard with a trackball on, one of the 3D gizmos or my XBox 360 controller on the PC. PC is connected to a projector.
Does anyone know if this will be released on Steam? and will it have stupid DRM on?

Regarding pro gamers, you are of course correct however expect to see a shift to competitive consoles dominating soon, tis the future
