Cool Who's looking forward to 'Modern Warfare 2'

Personally I'm buzzing for this game to come out in November as CoD4 is one of my all-time favourite games ever. I know they've jacked the price up but it's worth it in my opinion.

Me too, for me it has to be on PC though, I've tried and tried but an FPS on a console just doesn't work for me!

I will buy it and play it, but i am not that excited for it arriving to be honest.

I suspect it is just going to be a bit to much "more of the same" and while Cod4 is a good game, it is a bit to "arcadey" for its own good IMO

The whole "run and gun" thing just seams to **** me off a bit after a while.

I know exactly what you mean. You can't beat a mouse for pin point fast accuracy. It took me ages to get better with the control pad but I still prefer the mouse.

Now this sounds like a plan I'm gonna have to follow suit. Few mates, few beers, 2 PS3's, 1 xbox 360, 2 40" & a 32" TV in the living room to pull an all nighter! My missus is gonna love me

Your right about Treyarch, bunch of thieving muppets!

Then Id have to say that suggests you werent very good on PC No offence but the difference is like night & day. There is no way you can get the same level of speed & accuracy via a gamepad as you can with a keyboard & mouse.

You cant, which is why the console versions usually have some sort of aim assist programmed in to shooters.

I have totally went against the grain, and have been playing Crysis with an xbox 360 controller plugged in, and most "PC Users" seam to think this is a terrible thing

I agree when the game is a fast paced FPS, eg Unreal Tournament.
Cod4 is slow compared to this and I stand by my first statement AND I WAS A GOOD PC PLAYER Still am, just prefer consoles for the Cod series.

We will have to agree to disgree on this one

How many FPS gamers of a competitive level on PC use a gamepad over a keyboard/mouse combo? Id suggest none.

Im not sure what you mean about not being fast paced? Compared to classic fps games like CS Id say CoD4 is manic in terms of respawning and how quickly you can take someone (or multiple persons). I always wanted to see what would happen when you put online players from 360/PS3 on the same servers as PC players. For players of equal skill level Id put money on PC players ruling. And thats coming from someone who now plays almost exclusively on PS3 as I cant be bothered spending money on new rigs every 12-18 mths.

CoD 4 wasn't slow on the PC - is it that dumbed down to accomodate consoles?

FPS = PC

Every day of the week and twice on Sunday!

one downside to a pc is you cant sit on the sofa and play without having a mouse mat and keyboard on your lap.

cant beat a wireless controller for that kind of easy gaming with a few beers etc

Yep, can't wait.

Personally I make a point of completing the one player story before going online.

Did it with CoD 4 and World at War. Only normally takes 2 or 3 days

I prefer the PC as well, nothing like spinning a full perfect 180° and head shot the person sneaking up trying to knife you

I've sat on the sofa playing PC games before. Either use a keyboard with a trackball on, one of the 3D gizmos or my XBox 360 controller on the PC. PC is connected to a projector.

Does anyone know if this will be released on Steam? and will it have stupid DRM on?

Its probably the years Ive wasted playing UT, the speed of that game makes everything seem snail paced in comparison
Regarding pro gamers, you are of course correct however expect to see a shift to competitive consoles dominating soon, tis the future
