I also used to write about catching monster trout in Stillwater Trout magazine at places like Chalk Springs, Avington, etc.

So I adopted the Trout nickname.

It was either that or because I smelt like an old fish all the time!
I used to do a lot of competition trout fishing at places like Rutland etc. Given it all up for sea trout fising now-much better sport, plus the occasional sea bass on the spring tides.

Actually Bubba - I didn't like Spooky too much either - cocky little bugger he was

Trout has the best bits of Rannoch and the best bits, what there were, of Spooky!

Difficult to beat playing a 7 pounder in the dark in a weir pool up to your chest in the water.

Don't like it. You've gone from having a quite clever and unusual handle that everyone knows you by, to something that merely sounds like all the other generic council estate Ned usernames.

I preferred Rannoch.

It always made me think of that Scottish pudding-y thing made with raspberries, oats, Drambuie and cream.

This is a Scottish pudding

Pudding

And this is a place

A place where I have spent so much time camping, fishing and walking right in the centre of Scotland. And featured brilliantly in Trainspotting where they all go for a day out!
