full safety devices bolt in group n cage exactly same as weld in you can just unbolt it though and its a fair bit lighter than a weld in
seats are being welded in on mounting bars.
it is having a rear flat floor hence the wheel well removal
i went and looked at the car today and i have to give credit where its due. scoobyclinic are f**_-+g brilliant. the quality of the interior paint job is gobsmacking. for me i feel i have chosen the perfect tuner all the guys are brilliant, kev is a legend over the past 4 months he has helped me no end with this project and has gone a lot further for me in 4 months than some people ive known for four years would!! pretty much everyone up there owns a tuned subaru (all in heavy states of tune) and all the recent engines which they have built which are brilliant engines ,go like hell and last are the result of five hard years trial and error so all their work is race proven, and last week they gave me a car, yes they gave me a tuned track ready sti so i wouldnt spend my summer like a lemon doing no track days. now how many other people are going to just give you a 360 bhp sti an say go enjoy not many i bet.
its about time someone gave these guys the credit they deserve. ive gone through many jap cars many tuners and god knows how many thousands of pounds building cars that were never right, but this time i feel 100% confident that scoobyclinic will deliver the goods, i hope i can just return the favour and do well in time attack.
i will post the crazy month of track days tommorrow but for now here are some more pics of the blue beast pics are on my 2 megapixel crappy phone aswell

last month scoobyclinic gave me the ice driver. now this an m plate sti that has been all over the world, driving on ice piloted by ian mckenna aka 'the ice driver.
http://
now back in road /track form kev just let me have it to do some track days in, to learn circuits for next year. looks like a tatty old nail, but how wrong you would be
i believe the spec of the car is forged internals, ppg straight cut gears, uprated clutch, exhaust, filter, mapped, FMIC & metal pipe, adjustable suspension, extra swirl pot and fuel pump in boot, wastegate, BOV, actuator. OZ superleggra, avon zz3's uprated discs & race pads, safety devices cage, sabelt harneses, sparco steering wheel stripped interior (i removed sound deadening as a thank you) push button start, helmet intercom and ithink thats it
it is aright little cracker running 360 bhp+ this car was built years ago and the engine has not been rebuilt since the origional rebuild which is a testiment to the longevity and quality of scoobyclinic's engines/engine builder after all the abuse it has had and it still does'nt miss a beat ive got to be honest for a seriously budget conscious track day enthusiast this car would be perfect. its quick, still very responsive, handles wonderfully (the best budget car ive ever driven) but yet is not so hard its unusable on roads. scoobyclinic are building packages like this including the shell/car for next to nothing. if the track is something you are looking to do you have to give the clinic a call these packages are great and cost effective
anyway here are some pics my mate jason is posing (sorry bluds)
and im driving. brands indy is awsome, and we had the measure of everything on track we were costantly driving at blue flags "move bitch get out the way, get out the way bitch, get out the way" even the ferarri couldnt handle the nail (obviously thats down to its driver but hey) was absolutely loving it.
i did the track with phil glewe about 3 weeks before this track day and when your taking a better line than everyone and your flying you can see why the lessons ar beneficial.
the 205 in the bckground was 650kgs with a 406 turbo lump with mods to engine it was quick
then my phone battery died but we did manage to get some shots of me on the move. absolutely love thi cicuit. yes its only a car lenghth long but its so fast and really rewarding when yo nail a lap

thanks all for the kind words from everyone. might go to totb not sure coz all my mates are tied up or working
as for the roll cage it took kev ages to convince me not to go down the expensive and heavy route of a weld in cage. weld ins are frighteningly expensive and much heavier than you would think. safety devices is the perfect comprimise its light, plenty strong enough for a track accident, and its a lot cheaper. workmanship is top draw
more updates soon

no idea sorry, i know they do a lot of newage group n stuff its all for rally cars so obviously not cheap infact pretty pricey. as you have no mouldings to follow in the classic just bolt a flat sheet of carbon to rear seat frame, unless you use your car for motorsport of course then i would recommend having a group n one made. my fueling will be in the boot so i need an approved firewall just in case

nice clean car you have there. your right dude your right, every race car ive ever been in has had an alluminiunm firewall, until i built the spec c
you cannot deny moulded carbon is nicer and wont get red hot in the event of a fire, but if you are on budget ally all the way
you cant say that the carbon isnt nicer though, can you
loving the fuel tank bit tall for my boot as i have a flat boot floor now, how much was the tank, does it make a difference with the tank in the boot better weight distribution? at the moment in the ice driver the boot houses a huge swirl pot an a large second fuel pump and lines.

Or you could use aircraft grade aluminium and shape. rivet and instal yourself add some very fine gauge right angles to the back to stop it flapping around and sounding like Rolf Harris's musical thingy - job done doubt it weighs much more than the CF one, total cost under a fiver oops £1.50 for the rivets on the top panel as well

wassup y'all
after monging around all day stuck inside due to rubbish weather (thank god f1 was on) and being in a general pissy due to missing TOTB AGAIN!!
I flicked on the pc and to my suprise scoobyclinic are working on my car on a sunday with cars at totb crazy fools cheered me up a bit.
got my hands on polcarbonate windows and rear screen so they will be going on. i noticed the doors are back on too which probably means carbon door cards will go on this week

dont know mate did'nt even enter my mind, but now you have pointed it out i expect the weight saving is so minimal and it saves cutting up more of my mint shell.
