seems to be coming along nicely mate replied on my post about turbo choice. what are you intending on doing with the finished article and what sort of power are you expecting from this turbo setup, how big a turbo can you fit upfront?

dont you think that there might be a slight issue with the bottom rad hose ?
it looks like it is going to be a task to get that on without fouling or melting,
if the turbo was swung 180 degrees then there wouldnt be an issue.
ps. i am not trying to be a smart ***, just curious

andy gallauger runs my mates turbo at the moment which is the same hot side as peters with a 106 housing and a gt4294 comp wheel, it is considerably smaller to look at than rcm and andy f and norris , however it makes 820hp on andys 2.2 yb, and it makes 30psi at 4100rpm, this would fit at the front of your scoob fine but i am sure you would break a few things when the power kicked in
would be quite good to try it thow

Anyways Andy was the influence on which why i am using a smaller version of his turbo. His turbo supplier is Vince @ CR turbos and is where i got mines from.Andy is friends of Greersport so hence the link.
I thought he had the bigger hot side than mines....1.0exh where as mines is 0.7exh as i wanted quicker spool and less out right power but it would be easy to up grade at a later date if it needs to be

All gd Peter. Returned earlier this afternoon from Hebden Bridge. We have decided to carry out another set of mods approved by Pat Herborne which means a further slight delay.
Hebden Bridge is a nice place, surrounded by hills and lots of open land. As promised a couple of pics of the scoob and hills.....

yes peter,
the turbo did originally come from cr turbos, however andy didnt buy it, it was bought by a very good friend of mine who i used to drag race against in the mid 90s,
andy focus was running 660 ish hp at knockhill and he was very dispointed to not get the quickest time there, as its his local track, so he then had a word with harvey gibb and ahmed, and said he wanted an extra 100hp so then harvey rang my good friend up and asked if he had any turbos that would do this job, so my mate sent them his own turbo that is going to go on his evo, as a loan turbo, this is the turbo that is still on andys focus,
it is the same turbine as yours peter,

andy was running my mates turbo at totb....fact
unless he has rebuilt the engine in the last two weeks and replaced the turbo as you have said. which i find very doubtful. however this wasnt the point the point was , big is not always best and andy was an example,

What exhaust housing is in your car and is it twin scroll?
What boost are you running and when do you see 1 bar and full boost?
Just for reference

i thought big is best, i was running an exhaust cam far to big, which compromised my spool up, ie, couldnt get a bar until 4300 on dyno, i have sorted that issue now and i now get a bar at 3900 on dyno and it pulls power until 7100 which i think is a very long band to have, it is not quite finished yet as i have had to go for a different ecu, and also had a fault with my stack dash but am expecting it to be finished in the next 2 weeks, my mapper edmy has put so many hours in on this car for me from adjusting cam timing to wiring and supplying and installing my new ecu and not forgetting faultless mapping,
.84 housing,

no peter .84 housing is not a twin scroll mate t4 flange.
new ecu is awesome, HYDRA EMS its got everything from data logging to knock control and i can run 20 maps if i want and also i can run 16 injectors, dont no why that feature is on there,
best mod on my car , easily ,my mapper edmy, knows the ecus like the back of his hand which helps alot due to the hydra being very complicated

it has not made as much power yet, however edmy has ony taken it to 1.6 bar, on v power, he has got 582hp thow and 576lbsft but like i said before he has got me a 3100rpm power band which was very inportant for me,
edmy will be getting it back on the dyno this week sometime to finish off the track maps(1.6 bar and 1.8 bar ) and then if he has time he will be doing me a drag map for the shootout at 2.1 bar with 20% meth, he is quite confident that with the way the car is working at the moment, that he will get close to 700hp, but this is only to be used on a drag purpose, i will just have to wait and see.
