Gents- Im not in your league for power etc, but do hillclimbs in production class. I dont know what limitations you have, but I have to run list 1a MSA tyres, and am currently using Yoko Advan Neova AD08's, having come from T1r's which I hated.

New tyres are a revelation- they have decent sidewalls, seem reasonably progressive, howling a little before they start to slip. Not the best in the wet in fairness, but a real step forward.

My local tyre dealer sorted me mine out for 130 a corner.

Now just have to see if they are quicker than a GT3 rs that I found out is running in the same class! (I doubt it)

I wouldn't go any bigger than 245/40/18 on a 8.5j. Whatever you do peter, you will need to roll your arches.

Richard.

Wow it's been a while since last update. Finances have been due to work being closed for 6 months last year

My blue Scooby will be going back on the road but has taken a change of direction regarding the engine side of things until further notice.
Mean while tho I will getting a forged 2.1 built along with another set of worked avcs heads. This engine will still use the front mounted TO4z but will be going back to the 0.7exh instead the current fitted 0.9exh.
I do hope this configaration works good and get a bit more revs at the top end than the 2.5 set up.

Will post more pics as the pace gathers along.

Roll on 2012

Yup, I think you have done a good move on the engine and smaller housing choice. I have hated the acceleration on my car since I moved to a bigger housing but hopefully a proper map on the car soon will alter my opinion
