Cool. I tried on a DSSD and quite liked it - a lot more than from pics.
The strap on the vinty pam is 90 year old Crocodile skin that used to be a ladies handbag
I had an up and down day with the watches yesterday - secured the old one above but my 111h and Daytona came back from 2 months away with my watchsmith and both aren't satisfactory which is damn annoying.

HHmmmm, any chance of pics of the 111h????? Love panerai

No, the 111h has gone back to my watchsmith as it seemed to have something loose in the mechanism and stopped running an hour after i'd received it and wound it up. This is after he'd had it a month and given it a full service, clean, regulate, super-mega Tritec lume job, all seals replaced, case re-polished etc.
My Daytona i got back also fully fettled has a mark on the inside of the crystal so that's gone back too.
The old Panerai above is now also sold/moved on to an Italian in NYC who begged me for it after he missed out on it. I wasn't feeling it tbh so it was on it's way as of Sat.
Then i went to see my folks this weekend before they go on holibobs and my ma pinched my new Datejust.
Net result of week = minus 4 watches, hhhhmmmmpppppphhh

After seeing Yoza's Hydrocarbons I picked up one of these about 3 weeks ago. Didn't pay Jura's price though

Ball Watch Company Titanium Madcow DM1036A-SAJ-BK Watch at Jura Watches £1,520.00

And as Nat has pointed out it was £500 or so.
Go and play on your FaceBook...Cheers.

£4grand damage to my 9 day old Eos and her 57 plate clio was a write off and she had broken ribs/4 airbag deployment, collapsed ft suspension and subframe!
To cut a long story short, I'm looking at £4-6k and I'm gonna spend £2k on a second hand watch. Considering a Panerai, I like the 111 style as it's minimal.
Am I being realistic?

You'll need about £2.5-3k for a Pam 111. I actually prefer the 112 without the small seconds at 9. They are a bit cheaper too
I got mine v v cheap as it had been for a salt water swim......and drowned. It was pretty fooked and i've had to use a *shock horror* rep dial in it now it's been restored. It's a v v good one though and now it's been lumed it's 99% identical to gen - the gen panerai dials were something like a grand each

Pretty cool but when Owen Garriot strapped himself into his Apollo capsule and blasted off to Skylab he was wearing an Omega.......not sure why Ball have launched this edition
That's bugged me now...it's like Subaru saying......In 2002 Michael schumacher won the F1 world championship in a Ferrari....and now we're launching a new Impreza in honour this
I do like that lickle (pewter?) Skylab model though

Really? I've done a bit of research and I have sourced a couple at around £2000-2200, although I am enexperienced and must admit that I'd want to buy from a dealer for warranty.
Love the sandwich dials on Panerai

Peter nice watch, good choice, have you slept with it yet?
The case back reminds me of 'World in Action' or 'Panorama', I cant remember which.
Did you get a UV pen as a freebee ?
MarkR nice choice too, may I ask how much you paid ?
Spoon behave I was extremely lucky getting my SDDS at such a price.

Tonight is the night then..
Once its dark/black and your eyes have settled, you will be amazed.
Waking in the middle of the night and looking at your watch is pure ****.
You can read a book off the tritium tubes in my Triest/Chrono and Classic, you can even find a light switch with it....
Yours will be striking with its contrast in colours at 12 o,clock.
Did you know that tritium coloured tubes are unique and never the same colour as the next one made.
Did you also know that as soon as the vile/tube is filled with gas it starts to deplete, and after 25 years it will be usless......
.....You can have them replaced though, so dont worry, on your 55th birthday you can ask your family for a " tubes replacement."
Later Yoza..all Balled up.

Your right.
The new limited edition Ball Fireman Skylab pays tribute to Owen Garriott and his Skylab II crewmen who made to space exploration. It has a beautifully engraved caseback indicating Skylab II NASA mission that was designed by Garriott and crewmates. In the center of the engraving is Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man to depict the focus on medicine and humankind.

OK guys - I'm impressed with the Ball watches. Currently undecided between the Fireman Storm Chaser and the Aviator Dual Time.
Jura are doing 0%, but I'm struggling to find them elsewhere - can someone point me in the right direction?
TIA

Pete:
Fine looking watch
Yoza:
About GBP1150 depending on the exchange rate. Bought mine from The Watch Shop at Changi airport.
The screwdriver for changing the straps was taken off me by airport security when going through the gate to fly to LHR

Ball - Watches - The Diamond and Watch Specialist - Ernest Jones
they will probably have a few different watches that they dont have on the website too
mark - thanks

yoza - it is quality looking at it at night
the 3 colours really stand out
Thanks Pete,
I'd seen Ernest Jones advertising them, but not the versions I'm interested in. It looks as if I'll actually have to visit one of these new fangled shop type places rather than buy from the Internet - now that's a scary thought!!!!
Cheers

Simes.
What Ball model are you looking for ?
And just for the record, I used JuraWatches twice last year because I was skint ( 3 day week/no overtime/no shift allowance/no other income
) and used their interest free credit facility. They are not cheap, but their service was OK, one watch was 8 days late, the other was on time and both watches were A1 untouched.

Yoza,
Well I was looking at the Fireman Storm Chaser, but having taken another look at the Skylab that Pete bought, I think I might go for one of those.
The 0% finance from Jura is tempting, but not when the Skylab is £400 more.....even with a free watch winder / insurance, etc.
Seems like a trip to Ernest Jones is in order.
Cheers
